MPC mostly copied the Marx mold but they did come up with their own original Brontosaurus. They also came up several original pieces such as the (God Awful Red) Glyptodon (Doedicurus).

One of my favorite MPC figures Diatryma at least came in gray and other colors.

MPC made the first Dire Wold, unfortunately they were all a red crayola or sometime a green crayola color. This make it hard toi photograph or see detail.

I used to have this. I never knew what it was, thanks Used to? I hope you still do--it's one of the most valuable of the Starlux figures (second, maybe, to the Cephalaspis and Brachiopod). Unfortunately no, I have no idea what happened to it. Typical! (Starlux Drepanaspis)

You really do have a goldmine of dinosaur toys, Mr. Stoneage. Thank you! Here is my Royal Ontario Museum Stegosaurus from their Mesozoic series. ;D

Not a great figure but ROM did make the first Albertosaurus.

A common figure this ROM Pteranodon is one of the rarer ones.

I did not know that there is a ROM Pteranodon! Quite cool! It is a rather nice little figure. I like the whole ROM series of 8 critters. It has a great retro feel. Stoneage's photos show them off very well.

It looks like that the ROM pteranodon have shiny claws...

ROM made the first Diplodocus! I thought Invicta made theirs before ROM ( but I'm not in front of my figures now so I cannot check dates). Either way, I like both versions.

This one and their Parasaurolophus look furry, don't they?

Deanm you are right. The Invicta was made in 1974 and the ROM in 1977. I bought the ROM figures first and may be a little confused. I not sure when Invicta reached the US. I'm not sure the figures look furry, just not scaley.

Here we have the ROM Parasaurolophus figure which doesn't copy the old upright kangaroo posture.
