With all of the new dinosaur figures making the scene; to my knowledge, nobody has done up a decent Ceratosaur. The only one I ever found was made by Battat. Safari Inc. needs to do-up a new Ceratosaur to add to their newer and improved selection of dinosaurs. It would also be nice to see them get into more aquatic dinosaurs. Later

Is it that green & red one that they have discontinued? I think I have that somewhere. Who knows; maybe its on the improvement list as well. I guess time will tell.

I didn't know they discontinued it. I bought two and turned one into a female by making the red more brown.
Shliech also has one, but it is rather fat and ugly, and it is on all fours.
Maybe papo will make one next year?

The Carnegie Collection Carnotaurus is a very good replica of a ceratosaur. There were ceratosaurs other than Ceratosaurus! Aquatic dinosaurs... like Hesperornis? Yeah, I'd buy that.

That little Safari Ceratosaur is pretty toy like, even for a toy. The Battat looks terrific but I have never seen one in person and Battat is out of business so that's that, isn't it? Perhaps a few photos? And here he is in his normal residence, the Juraceous Bucket-

I thought carnotaurus was related to majungatholus, not ceratosaurus... It can be related to both (though you're right that it's more closely related to Majungatholus). Deltadromeus is another ceratosaur represented in the Carnegie Collection. I think that's the only other ceratosaur besides Ceratosaurus and Carnotaurus you can find a toy of.

I have one of those Battat Cerats and its fantastic! But its time for another one (Papo or Safari; Hint-Hint). I mean it would make sense for Papo to do one because in Jurassic Park-3 a Ceratosaur made an appearance by the big ringing poop-pile. Well I guess we will have to wait and see.

Both Carnotaurus and Majungatholus (usually called Majungasaurus) are Abelisaurids a type of Ceratosaur with short stumpy arms. Ceratosaurus is an early Ceratosaur which is more primitive and is not a Abelisaurid.

I suspect that Papo could have quite the nice release.

The battat one was actually good? From the pictures, he looks horrible.... Those un-painted teeth, those sloppy-looking colors...

I'll agree that the Battat Ceratosaurus is the best one I've seen so far. There's a China-based company that did a knock-off version (might be AAA) that I've seen sold on some British websites in the past. The pose is similar to the Wild Safari Ceratosaurus but the colors and pattern is a knock of of the Battat figure.

You'd think that they would have come out with an excellent figure for such a well known animal, no?

I prefer the WS version over any others I've seen..but their does need to be a really super-detailed Cerato made by someone...though my only complaint with having it be Papo is that it would so similar to Allosaurus..they might be tempted to alter their Allo to make a cheaper Ceratosaurus. Now if they went with the JP3 version I 'd get it..and the coloration would be so much different from what they have already released..def a standout piece.
