Ok, I am looking to identify a small, solid, tan-colored plastic stegosaur, roughly the size of a timpo, with very heavy crosshatching for texture. I don't have a picture, sorry. I thought I still had this dino but I can't find it anywhere, so I probably gave it away, or maybe I'm just imagining it. Marx? Or one of their copies? Does anyone know more about this little Leptoceratops(?) ? It says nothing at the body.

There were one or two dinosaur board games quite a while back, some of which had some decent little dino figures in them--maybe that's where this one is from. It doesn't otherwise look very familiar.

Thought I'd throw my dino-search in.... I'm on the hunt for this guy (The bigger one), and yet I know absolutely nothing about him. Any ideas? ~ Michael

Yes it's totally a Chinasaur, I have one with the exact body mold but mine has a brachiosaurus head instead. Yet the body is identical and I've seen they used the same body mold for other Chinasaur brachiosaurus too with slight differences -body pose and/or head-. Appears to be based on the Invicta Brachiosaurus, btw. (Call it a rip-off if you like). Thing is finding this particular one won't be easy unless you spot where it was sold. If it is sold in a particular shop you may still find it by almost no money. Otherwise it will be quite hard to find since nobody labels chinasaurs. If you have patience you might spot it in a dinosaurs lot on ebay. But to be honest I never saw that particular one before.

In April 2009, I won a T. Rex on eBay for just under £10. Finding this site made me curious as to it's origins and what company made it. It's about 50cm long and 30cm tall. There's no company name on the underside, just "Tyrannosaurus" and "Made in China". The picture has the toy on its own and another photo of it next to a Schleich Spinosaurus to show scale. Metal Allosaurus, based on the Marx/MPC ones. Probably pewter? The base says (C) RICKER 1987. Any help identifying it? Attachments:

Sorry the picture is upside down everyone, it looked right on my computer. And thanks Blade! I'm gonna have to do more research on Michael Ricker, I assume he was the artist but I'm unable to find any images of the figure I have

Same here..all his stuff I saw looked original. So I'm not sure about a Marx-like copy.. :?

I just compared it to the Marx and MPC. It's a little bit smaller than both of those, and nearly exactly similar to the marx one. Everything is the same except the pewter one has a tiny bit more detail and is smaller. So who knows? I'll keep looking
