As you may know if you've bothered to read my blog bio (and I don't blame you if you haven't), I like the European magpie - Pica pica. Does a figure of this bird exist that's affordable? I've seen a few oddball items on eBay (including taxidermy items of course) but nothing cheap. I wouldn't mind something about 1:3 scale or even smaller.

I have a lot in the park in front of my house. Sometimes they even come to my window and awake me with their weird song. They are very beautiful indeed

Horrridus - you're starting to scare me.
We both like dinosaurs, theme parks... and magpies.
Are... are yo umy clone?
There's a plush one that's pretty expencive that I've seen on ebay - but it's pretty easy to get hold of stuffed real ones because they are pests. I have skulls from two who fell in my chimney and died.

The two i found in my chimney were pretty amazing. They were perfectly dried out and in interesting poses, but they were COVERED in holes from maggots. We only discovered they were in there due to a fly investation and we had a similar problem witha pigeon at the old house.
So i put them in the compost heap and a few months later mum found the skulls. Pretty cool.
I dunno if I could have a stuffed one. Might creep me out.
I really want a muntjac buck skull though...

I wouldn't have like to have handled those maggoty corpses (what was the smell like...?) but getting hold of two skulls for free must've been pretty cool.
Also, yes, some people do find my stuffed magpie a bit creepy. I personally think it's a rather attractive and unusual talking point... ;D

My grandfather burned down a bush one time and found out that he burned all the flesh off of a lizard along with the bush... He has the skeleton in a plastic bag somewhere!

I like your stuffed Magpie. Now I know why you liked my painting ;D I've seen, long time ago, a large display casement of a Magpie stealing eggs from a Robin's nest (or another bird can't remember) it was in an antique shop.
