Do you remember your first or even favorite dinosaur toy as a child? As far back as I remember I had a T rex green and yellow standing up right (this was some time after 1983) mouth open with gasp lipstick red painted gums. The feet were webbed like a duck and the skin was like a crocodile with scutes running down its back. I also fondly remember a Brontosaurus black with some purple undertows fairly accurate by today's standers of thinking in which the neck and tail were held out strait and parallel to the ground and the head was Diplodocid like not camarasaurus. My first raptor was the dino riders Deinonychus ! Yay found memories off long ago. well that's mine what is yours?

A 1950's Marx playset. The terrain was one piece plastic with a pond in the middle. It had about twenty creatures and a dozen caveman and trees and plants also. Was hooked on dinsaurs ever since. wish I still had it.

I used to have the same one along with several other dinosaurs of the same size...maybe by the same company? They all live at my the preschool my mom works at now.

A trio of classic Chinasaurs (don't know the exact brand, but I bet these are quite well known around here as well when you see pics), a Rex, Trike and Edaphosaurus.
The first dinosaur toy that really mattered considering the impact it had on my life was the JPS1 Young T-Rex though.

My first was the MPC set of dinosaurs....I was jealous of my older brother because he got Marx dinos and I thought they were larger and better detailed, which they are. I guess it payed to be older in those days! LOL

My first dinosaurs were the next Marx set with the Lake, Cave, and two other RockFormations in brown.

Do they resemble the four green/yellow Tyrannosaurs you see in this picture? Haha, yes, I have four. They were my first dinosaur toys as well.

Two Chinasaurs, a Tyrannosaurus-ish one and a Stegosaurus-ish one, back in the early '90s (maybe even before Jurassic Park).

I received some of the Inpro figures (found out only recently what they were) in about 1976. I had the Corythosaurus, Styracosaurus, Triceratops, Ankylosaurus, Woolly Mammoth, Allosaurus, and Stegosaurus at least. When I wanted to buy more figures about a year later from the same toy store I was told that they would not be sold in Germany anymore due to a fatal incident were a small child swallowed one of them. Don't know if that really was the reason but I never saw them again until I found the dinosaurcollector site. And I don't have any of the figures anymore.

My first dinosaurs were the WS baby Utahraptor, Stegosaurus and Rex and the Carnegie Pteranodon. I can remember getting the Dino Riders Edmontonia soon after that, in about 2001. My most important dinosaur was probably the 'giant' JP3 Pteranodon because it kicked off my collecting spree.

A Marx playset. I actually remember that evening well. Had gone to Target with my parents and they bought it for me. Was excited, until we came home and found that our home had been burglarized. The toys themselves still live in my parents basement.

The earliest ones I can remember were some chinasaurs, but they were really weird ones. Two of them were lizardmen (one of which seemed to be in blackface), one was a prawn thing which I later found is a Rust Monster from Dungeons and Dragons, another was some weird hybrid of Pteranodon and Archaeopteryx, another one was some kind of weird warthog/lizard thing, and the only real ones were Dimetrodon and a sauropod.
I still have some of them, so I can show you them. I can't find the rust monster though, which is a shame because it is so bloody weird.
