My first dino toys were three of these; the pink and blue rex, the blue sauropod, and the green triceratops. I also had a yellow anatosaurus looking guy - I got all of these from a Wendy's kids meal when I was barely a toddler. These are what started it all X3 I want to get that green trike again, as well as the yellow anatosaurid. They were misplaced as I got older. I have the rex and sauropod though! ;D

I have had this fellow from Def Dinosaurs for as long as I can remember: I used to have the ceratosaurus in green as well but I have no clue what happened to him. I had it for a long while and just noticed his absence a few years ago. Really annoys me.

Totally remember, and still have them. As a wee boy, I "inherited" some of my mothers Marx dinos. LOVED THEM. She had a few MPC's too. Soon came a flood of others, including some of the hollow imperial dinosaurs, and my White Post dinos from Dinosaurland VA. I would pick up the Invicta figures (some of my favorites, mostly purchased from museum giftshops) whenever I got the chance. Later, things like model kits, dino riders, definitely dinosaurs, safari, bone age, thunder beasts and then on to stuff like the JP dinosaurs...and on and on
It started very young for me, and never stopped. I guess at one point my mother hoped I would stop collecting toys, but now she just laughs about it.

My first carnegie was the dilophosaurs pair and I think and my first JP dino was the stegosaurus.

My first dinosaur figurines were the Scheich Ouranosaurus and Baryonix. My first Safari ltd. dinosaur was the Carnegie Saltasaurus. My first JP action figurine was a small Dilophosaurus. My first Bullyland toy was the sitting Pteranodon. My first Papo critters were the Velociraptor and Pachycephalosaurus. My first(and only) Starlux is the cave bear.

Yes thats him!!! wow you have so many. Hey a dilophosaurus cool. That's him? Yes, I have a ton of chinasaurs. Sometimes I wonder if I should take them down and put them all in boxes. Hey, as long as you have the space, keep them on those shelves. I wish I had a special shed for my ones Uhm, I think we have a "First dino toy" thread already somewhere around here, but anyway. I think it was one of those yellow Chinasaur Dimetrodons with unrealistic jaws, cheap rubber. I lost it. Then came the Invicta Diplodocus and a China Elasmosaurus I lost, too.

My very first dinosaur was the Pot belly T-Rex. I still have it, also Allosaurus, Stegosaurus, Hadrosaurus, Pteranodon, Brontosaurus, Trachodon, Sphenacodon, Triceratops, Ankylosaurus, Dimetrodon. But Kronosaurus, Plateosaurus, Cynognathus unfortunately disappeared somewhere. This is kind of a re-post of my very first post here! ;D

The earliest ones I can remember were some chinasaurs, but they were really weird ones. Two of them were lizardmen (one of which seemed to be in blackface), one was a prawn thing which I later found is a Rust Monster from Dungeons and Dragons, another was some weird hybrid of Pteranodon and Archaeopteryx, another one was some kind of weird warthog/lizard thing, and the only real ones were Dimetrodon and a sauropod. I still have some of them, so I can show you them. I can't find the rust monster though, which is a shame because it is so bloody weird. I know exactly the ones you are talking about! My set also came with a Shunosaurus-type thing with it's head on backwards and a Stegosaurus.

My first dino ever: It was given to me by "The three wise men" on Christmas of 1982. (In Spain the "3 wise men" comes on the night of 5th January to bring gifts to children. When I was a little kid we didn't have Santa Claus, it was later added to the more and more capitalist Spain around the 90's. Before that, we only had these 3 guys) The figure belong to a collection called AIRGAM-BOYS made in Spain on the late 70's, (figures similar to Playmobil but bigger in size). It was the last quality dinosaur toy I had since then I only got chinasaurs. I still keep the "alien bronto" with a lot of love in my collection, but sadly I lost EVERY of the gadgets and accesories that came with it over the years, including the good ape-men... I tried to buy them again but today these Airgam-boys are sold at extremely cazry prices...

My first dino was a Stegosaurus. Big, green, opened mouth, ugly - but for little me the loveliest dino on earth. I took it with me to school, and even made a special seat for her (oh, I didn't mentioned it, but it was - of course- a stegosaurus girl, haha) on the back of my bicycle. My mother made her a knitted vest, with buttons in between the plates. She even owned a little hat . Love that Stegosaurus! I think my parents still have it, including the custom made outfit. Maybe I should make a picture when I'm visiting....

My first were a set of the Inpro Dino/prehistoric mammals. I must have been about 4/5 years old.

I believe my first dinos I can remember are a tie between an Invicta Apatosaurus I got at my first Dinamation exhibit in maybe 88' or 89' ? I was 6 or 7 I think ? A cheap Rex and Apato by Dormei ...or an Invicta Rex I got in Gatlinburg TN . The Invicta Apato is the only one I can place a date with really....my mom would be the source to go to..but she passed in 98' and all that info went with her . :/

My first dinosaur toys were some unknown Chinasaurs of a semi-translucent soft plastic: a 'Brontosaurus' (as I knew it to be then) and a Plesiosaurus. They were little things and fitted into my palm. Back in Chiang Mai when I was about six, there wasn't a great deal of knowledge or indeed choice as to manufacturers. ;D If you're familiar with the Japanese manga and subsequent animation, Doraemon, you may know that a Plesiosaurus features prominently in one of the adventures. I loved my little plesiosaur because of it. I lost it when I accidentally dropped it on the road whilst seated on my mother's motorcycle (I even carried it with me to places). As it was near home, I even walked back along the road later to look for it, but it was never found.

Were you ever able to locate another one ?

Sadly not. I don't even remember how I came by those two in the first place. I don't remember what later became of the Brontosaurus either, pathetically.
