I say Utahraptor. I like those guys plus you don't see many illustrations of them. OK, CT... not to be mean or anything? You should check out the "comic" strip part of PT, the artwork looks bad. I know what you mean by a little bit more advance, I think that is very true for all the scientific topic for the mag. But they do mix up drawings/illustration from amateur artist to professionals in their articles, they also have a section (at least they use to) called Readers Art that the readers of all age and skills can enter. So I highly encourage Tyrannax, and for everyone who have posted artworks, to give it a try. You never know until you try. :oP Sorry. I said I didn't know that much about the magazine, and that the "More advanceed art" thing was just a guess. But whatever. You are pretty good tyrannax! How are you at backgrounds? I for one stink at them

"Yes, I am a utahraptor, but my tail has multiple fractures, my wrists are broken, my dew claws have been cut off, and all my feathers have been plucked" .

OMG I forgot the dewclaws! I don't draw dinosaurs with feathers. We have no evidence of feathers on utahraptors anyway. The wrists, I didn't really look at a skeleton for support because I was at my grandma's (hahahah), so yes they are wrong. As for the tail, I need to straighten it out. My first raptor drawing

My first raptor drawing Oh! Very good then tyrannax! My first raptor looked like a lizard, because it was waking up and it was on all fours. When I showed it to my mom, she said "Why does this lixard have feathers?". And as for the no feathers thing- Well, there isn't any evidence that utahraptor had a tongue or eyes either Think about that for a while!

tyrannax did you ever subscibe to Prehistoric Times. For the price of a good Dinosaur you get a magazine with great illustrations. There are articles on how to draw, sculpt, make models, what new dinosaur toys, and books are out there. They also talk to Paleontologist and Paleo-Artist. You should send some pictures to them. They even publish some drawings from 5 year olds. I just think it is something you would really enjoy.

Thanks TP! I appreciate it. Moms are like that, yes, they don't really know what to make of diosaur drawings. And good point, but birds and reptiles both have tongues and eyes, so its safe to assume they had them lol. As for not having feathers, he was an early model of a raptor. He was to far behind on the evolutionary track. Besides, we have no physical evidence of feathers, feather-like inbeddings in the rock, or even small spur type things on the arms that tell us that feathers might have grown. And yes, i'm actually going to subscribe now. But wait, you can send any drawings? I thought you had to draw the listed dinosaurs they want and send them at a certain time?

Well if you want the cover I think you need to draw the specific animals for that issue. Either way Good Luck!

^^^ But not only the cover, right? Isn't there a section inside the mag where you can see all the artwork dedicated to one specific creature?
