I had a chance to buy the Guanlong the other day but I just couldn't do it. Maybe if you could heat and bend it, it would look better. The Miragaia on the other hand is a really great figure.

I just can't get past the clown hands and feet. The bright red and blue colors don't help any.

I had 2 BEAUTIFULLY painted Shapeways figures in the mail today !I can't tell you how happy I am with these ;D!! Both models are designed by Aaron Doyle & painted by copper. Himmapaan's Citipati inspired the Velociraptor's colour scheme - a true DTF collaboration ! Extra special thanks go to copper for finding the time to do this - you did (once again) a WONDERFUL job !! 1:12 Protoceratops .......1:12 male Velociraptor .......

Congrats to these excellent repaints by copper! And the Paleocraft Daeodon (it's sold as " Dinohyus", but that's a junior synonym) is still one of my favourite Paleocraft models. I love the charging pose. I still need to paint the base of mine, eventually. Oh, and I see a larger version of Tristan Bethe's grandpa... I wonder if the depicted person knows about his increasing popularity (I assume the models by Tristan Bethe are based on 3d scans of existing people)... ;D

I wonder if the depicted person knows about his increasing popularity (I assume the models by Tristan Bethe are based on 3d scans of existing people)... ;D Yes, they are. It's Tristan Bethe's actual grandpa. I like the fact that he seemed to have a package of cigarettes in his shirt pocket under the jumper during the scanning process. Old-fashioned and stylish ;D. He measures exactly 10 cm and is perfect for the Daeodon. I bought him especially for Sean Cooper's prehistoric mammals. BTW: Repeated thanks to Mironimus-Rex' Urzeitshop for being the only seller offering these Paleocraft models in Germany !

It's a 2 page illustration by Doug Henderson from the oversized book 'Dinosaurs - A Global View' by Czerkas & Czerkas (Dragon's World Ltd, 1990) that shows a group of Phytosaurs (Paleorhinus) resting in the swamps.

Oh, you´re right. But the really true No.1 is Manuel Neuer - I still don´t know, however, if I forgive his treason against S04...
