That's Gigantoraptor. And the one below it is Edmontosaurus, not Iguanodon.

Hello, everyone! I'm new around here and hope you all don't mind my diving right in. As far as introductions go, I'll just say that it's nice to meet the people who are likely outbidding me on all of those eBay auctions I keep losing. A question regarding the Dinosaur Expo line: I have a vague recollection of once coming across an auction for a scaled reproduction of the Mongolian "fighting dinosaurs" fossil produced by Kaiyodo. I think it must have been in this line, as the picture showed it in packaging similar to the rest of these. I passed on the auction at the time--poor grad student here!--and since then haven't been able to find any indication that I didn't just hallucinate the whole thing. No further auctions, no Google hits, nothing. I now wonder if I might be misremembering an auction for the Microraptor. Might anyone here be able to confirm (or deny) that Kaiyodo ever produced a fighting dinosaurs repro? It's driving me more nuts than I already am. Thanks!

I think I have that fossil repro of the fighting dinos; can't remember if it's Kaiyodo or Bandai. Anyway, I'll dig it out and take a pic for you tonight or this weekend.

I remember passing on it as well (but it doesn't both me, unlike the 2004 Expo set...).

Well, I don't think I need to even begin opining on what I think of these...
Sigh.

Thanks, guys! I appreciate the help. I just ordered the Sideshow Velociraptor/Protoceratops diorama and would love to display it with some representation of the fossils; it's nice to know that I didn't just dream up a scaled replica. I guess the hard part is now finding one for sale...

Here it is. sbell was correct; it's from the UHA Kaiyodo Collect Club series, made of brittle plastic. Looks like the raptor's tail is missing, but if you want it, make me an offer, it is a pretty cool little model.

I got half of the 2009 expo figures, not the guanlong, unfortunately. Two I have already posted in my collection thread, here is the third, the Tyrannosaurus. I should mention these figures are not resin like all the other expo figs, but more of a pliable rubber, like the Bandais. The name Kaiyodo is not written on the box anyhwere so I'm not sure who made them. 99% of the writing is in Japanese. It does appear it was modeled after Bucky, and possibly by Raul Martin, the only other English words present. The boxes themselves are quite cool, with a fold-up flap that displays some info about where the fossils were found. Lastly, the models all come with little clear plastic supports, for the head and tail, visible in the last pic, almost like they're ex[pecting them to eventually droop? Hopefully they won't need them.

Here is the 2010 Tokyo Art Museum "Dawn of the Dinosaurs" Saurosuchus model, along with some other 'suchuses. Anyone that collects these I highly urge you to get them NOW from clawmarktoys, because when these are gone, they'll really be gone. The price is quite reasonable, I think, for a painted resin figure of this size. More models to follow.

So I don't have all of them, who do you think I am, Boki? ;D (kidding) Actually, I do have the Ari, it was just painted so god-awful, I re-primed it with the wrong paint/primer, which peeled off, and looks like a bad case of sunburn I need to redo the whole thing, at which juncture, he will join his brethren! ;D

Goes well with all the others

The Study Room Rex in this thread is the rarest of all shown. The Sue Japanese stuff never made it here to Field Museum. There is a nice skeleton on the CQ site on my collection as well as the Supersaurus skeleton picture in this thread.

2011 Museum figures are in! There are seven, and one secret figure. I'll post a new figure each day. Here is Spinosaurus aegypticus catching a Mawsonia lavocati: Check back tomorrow for more! There are the usual suspects, but also a few surprises.

There are the usual suspects, but also a few surprises. I am currently waiting on that one--and the Anchiornis. And a second Nipponites! I have enough of the other types that I just ignored the rest of this year's lot.

Hey, where are you guys picking these up? Never mind, found them on Clawmark. Any way to get an individual figure? I love the sitting tyrannosaurus skeleton.
