No, these are all with a brush using acrylics from a craft store and Tamiya acrylics. after all the colors are done it is sealed with clear matte finish from a spray can and then a wash of black ink or acrylic thinned with water and a small amount of alcohol(to get rid of surface tension) is applied. Then it is dry brushed with various light shades of gray or sand. This is all a matter of practice. I paint the eyes white first and then the color. For the pupil I use a push pin or map pin to make an indentation and then fill with black, the hole keeps the pupil round. If there are any terms which you are not familiar with just ask ;D ¿could you explain that? im painting a papo triceratops and you are being my master ;D OK, dry brushing uses a brush with stiffer bristles. You dip the brush in the lighter color and then wipe off most of the paint on a rag. There is very little paint on the brush. You then lightly drag the tip of brush across the object leaving paint only on the raised surface. The thin wash you applied earlier settles in the lower spots looking like shadows and the drybrushing highlights the raised detail. It artificially produces shadow and sunlight effects. Here are two examples that show it up better. Papo Spinosaurus custom and a modified Papo rhino into Elasmotherium

My goodness, these last two are stunning! Could you please link me to their own threads (I assume you'd already posted about them) so I could get a better look? ;D I have the Papo rhino too, by the way. ;D It's a lovely figure.

That papo spinosaurus is my absolute favorite of yours. *drooooolssssss* Mine too! ;D I've actually made a few minor changes to it on the tail spines, the big tooth in the upper jaw is longer and I made new claws for the manus to be a bit longer and much sharper.

(Hope this made since this time.) Sort of. Any line drawings or digital aren't mine, they were there for various forum discussions as reference. Wish they were mine, but I have nada talent in 2D.
