Wow fantastic! You really should illustrate some sort of a fantasy-based dinosaur book like the Dinotopias or something. I can never get tired of your style.

I think you should let him get eaten! Payback can be a pain bud ! Dude, that's GREAT !!! I'm extremely flattered....and your VERY close portrait-wise. I'm not ashamed to admit I'm a hefty boy so there wouldn't be much tossing around I bet anyway.. ;D I'm so printing this and getting it framed ! ..thanks for not letting me get eaten too ! ;D

Thank you so much, everyone! Chris (Blade, that is; there are many Chrises on this forum ;D), I'm glad you like it! And what a relief your toon-portrait was respectable enough too. ;D I think you should let him get eaten! Yeah! Mwahahahaha! I think the Allosaurus was much too freaked out. ;D But that aside, I must admit that there are some days when I wouldn't be sorry to see some people gobbled up by a theropod. I'd been tempted to draw that on many occasions... I'll get to your saurian portrait one day, I promise. ;D That is so priceless!!! Niroot, I'm so glad you found this forum and graced us with your presence, your illustrations always make me smile! ;D ;D That's so kind of you, thank you! If it makes you smile, then, to quote Austen again, 'every wish will have been gratified of the author' -- or illustrator in this case. It is exactly what I would hope! You really should illustrate some sort of a fantasy-based dinosaur book like the Dinotopias or something. Perhaps it will happen one day. Fingers crossed!

Except Blade doesn't get eaten here. ;D I have to apologise to him in advance for any shortcomings in his cartoon portrait. The only reference photographs I've been able to find featured him in full clown make-up, so I did the best I could. Also, I'm not sure the figure of him works terribly well in the last 'panel'. It's the way he's being thrown up by the tail that isn't wholly convincing. But I'm afraid I'd already stolen more moments from work than I ought for this, so it will have to do. Funny and awesome at the same time ;D

I'd been tempted to draw that on many occasions... I have to say I am guilty of doing the same..heck I drew pretty much my entire family one day getting chased down and eaten by a pack of Raptors. You get stressed and art is our outlet... it's healthy enough.

Hey Niroot. Excuse my absence of high praise, lately. (Hehe!) I haven't had a decent chance to stop by and smell the roses on here for a while now. But, I had to take a moment and tell you how much I like these recent additions. I absolutely love the maternal vision of your proud, protective mother Apato/Bronto looking after her inquisitive child. It doesn't bother me at all that there isn't an instant, blatant storyline being called forth by their actions or lack there-of. For me, this piece simply evokes, and beautifully at that, the exquisite, serene majesty of these amazing animals. And that is more than enough for me! Blade's "Allo Hug" is fabulously fun! Even in these whimsical works of art, your attention to detail and high level of artistry never suffers. Bravo! Bravo again!! BTW, I can also relate to scanner problems. I had the hardest time getting a descent scan of my T.rex drawing I now use in my signature. It would literally change highlights and shadows with each scan! I ended up settling for this one, even though it has these awful vertical lines. And it's even more noticeable on the full-size pic. Ugh!

:oYou're unbelievable, Himmapaan! With drawing skills and ideas like these you should think about even publishing a dinosaur book à la William Stout. You can do it. Seriously.

Oh... Thank you so very much for all the recent kind comments, everyone! 'Adorablarious' is a fantastic word, Ingunn. ;D Chuck, I'm very glad you like the Mother and young, thank you! About scans: I actually have very few complaints (if any at all, in fact) about the scans themselves, as my Miraculous Scanner (that's what I've called it ;D) is just that and does an absolutely stirling job. My problem is having to resize online, which invariably alters the original scans for the worse. Next draw a pack of allosaurs attacking a DTF member convention. Ahahaha, isn't that a delicious thought (quite literally, perhaps?)? ;D Thank you to everyone again for your encouragement towards a book! I'd begun formulating a small plan: when I have a substantial number of dinosaur drawings, I mean to drop them into the lap of an art director of one of my publishers and see if any ideas for a children's book might be formed... It may be a considerable while as I have rather a number of things lined up, but fingers crossed!

I had hoped to do a little something for Easter, but didn't have time. I did manage to ink in the ' Aprontosaurus' from earlier.
