Sorry for late reply, but thank you, everyone. Very nice! but whats the story behind Mr Eisenstein and Miss Rosalinde? All I remember of what I'd written regarding this pair is that their romance was rather clandestine, and their suspicious and secretive behaviour made them suspects (among many) in the murder. ;D Here is a sketch I made yesterday from life at London Zoo of an Utila spiny-tailed iguana. It was a most obliging model and I wish I'd had more time to draw more of it. But I'm happy with the sketch as it turned out too.

'Everybody loves T.rex'. A gentle and affectionate satire on Tyrannosaurus mania. ;D Inspired in small part by this article and this series of blogposts by somebody (whoever he is). But mostly, it's just my observation on vulgar Tyrannosaurus fanboys (and far fewer fangirls). Please view a better and larger version here. The hardest part was drawing those people in modern clothes (which accounts for the lack of variety therein)!

Wow very nice (and the iguana too)! and I love how resigned he looks. Victim of its own success (That said, I find Spinosaurus and JP like "raptors" fanboys -of any age- way more annoying and detrimental to paleontology than those. At least the T. rex reputation have a solid and accurate base...)

The T. rex kind of reminds me of myself whenever I'm at a museum and there's an impossible amount of shrieking school children there. The little chubby kid is a nice touch too.

All beautifully done once again, Niroot! I especially love the T. rex. And yes, I'm afraid the King will always be "The King." So it was written, so it shall be!

Hahaha awww poor big guy c: He looks like he doesn't know what to do - run or weep ;D And about the kids' clothes - I think it adds a much nicer quality that their clothing has, as you put it, lack of variety. It kind of lends to the image that the kids are a swarm taking over the Tyrannosaurus as a singular entity if you will And, while I can see the individual kids just fine, when I observe the Tyrannosaurus all of the detail you've put into the children doesn't take away from the detail you've put into the dinosaur. I'm guessing having the simpler style of the kids' clothes wasn't your real intent, but I think it compliments the picture extremely well!

Hmmmm..... one of the kids has a beard Haha, well-observed, Mr. PFE. ;D Yes, and yes. And in fact, I hadn't originally intended it to be me (which is why it isn't quite tall or thin enough), but as I drew it, I thought I may as well. If I'm making fun, I ought to include myself. It really is meant to be an affectionate parody. Oh, and most of these 'kids' are meant to be like miniature adults -- turned into children by their T.rex craze, hence the bearded one. And about the kids' clothes - I think it adds a much nicer quality that their clothing has, as you put it, lack of variety. Yes, the homogeneity of tone and simplicity were indeed deliberate. It was the variation in the styles of clothing that I didn't quite succeed with. Most of them are in T-shirts/ shirts and jeans, with the odd shorts and baseball cap here and there. But I suppose that serves well enough. ;D

I think it really does work well...reminds me of a portrait of a famous actor..surrounded by the chaotic maelstrom of his fame..that the can't escape. Just so....right.

Love that iguana too. I like how even though its copied from life you put your style into it. I have also recently have gotten into drawing live animals a lot more since I've started working at the Bergen County Zoo.

Oh my. I was browsing through another forum I visit every now and then, and found a guy offering to make signatures. He posted some examples of his work, one of which featured your Tyrannosaurus study (from page 2). Do you want me to contact him about this?

Mwahaha! There I am! Again, I think it's rather flattering, thank you. Red shoes and all... By the way, I linked to this picture's DeviantArt page on Facebook with the comment, "Who could that be dangling from the tail?" David Orr responded "Jack Horner should be dangling out of its mouth!" Oh and "Also, that drawing is AWESOME"

If you could, I would appreciate it immensely. I can depend upon you to be polite, of course. ;D DA is the only other place I'd posted it, so I imagine it must have been saved from there. And thank you for all your other comments, everyone! Marc, I've just seen your edit. ;D Please thank David Orr from me the next time you speak to him!
