Happy new Year! Apologies for such a large image. I was going to post a smaller one and link to the blog entry, but Imageshack decided to be treacherous, so the image comes directly from the blog.

Very nice! What are they running from? My thoughts exactly..lol Maybe it's just sheer exuberance though ? ;D

The pictures are great, but I don't think big heavy dinosaurs could move like that. One leg on the ground and the back legs look like a bucking Bronco! Still I love your work.

They look like children chasing after the ice cream truck . How do you capture so much emotion in these illustrations...such a gift. It's adorable, Niroot, well done...and belated Happy New Year to you.

I love your color choices! I will have to remember those colors/patterns on your Stego for when I ever do a Stego repaint. You've made my favorite armored dino GORGEOUS! And a wonderful Happy New Year back to you, Niroot! What an amazingly gifted asset you are to this forum!

Lovely! Impossibility aside, I always tried to imagine how a sauropod at full gallop would have looked like.

Thank you so much, everyone. They're not running away from anything, they're enjoying themselves! It is, as Durbed and Chris K suggest, just sheer exuberance and fun. It is meant to be a happy New Year greeting, after all. ;D Their expressions haven't translated terribly well at this resolution. Though perhaps you might be able to see them in this stage. The pictures are great, but I don't think big heavy dinosaurs could move like that. One leg on the ground and the back legs look like a bucking Bronco! Such a gallop is obviously impossible in real life, but I would have thought its evident light-heartedness needed no explanation by now. ;D I love your color choices! I will have to remember those colors/patterns on your Stego for when I ever do a Stego repaint. I was going to paint my Krentz Antediluvian Stegosaurus like that myself. ;D

Does this mean triceratops couldn't ride tricycles?

Since it had such a short hindlimbs and the ankle joint has proved to be quite inflexible, I´m afraid it would be impossible for Triceratops to use the pedals. Ornithomimids, on the other hand...

BTW, isn't that Krentz Stego rather small, if I'm remembering it correctly? Oh, what am I thinking! You're GREAT with doing small, intricate art pieces!

....... You're GREAT with doing small, intricate art pieces! Oh yes, he is ......... and he's got that unique Himma-style . I surmise that already after two years I'd be able to recognise one of his drawings or paintings without knowing anything about it (Lobeshymne ;D!)

Or you may have to wait for a very long time, at the rate I manage things. I would love to see a Stego painted in these colours. ;D You're too kind.
