Nice, is there a name for the style you use. It reminds me of some illustrations I've seen before.

Has anyone ever told you that your style of art reminds them of that of Tony Diterlizzi? He's one of my favorite illustrators.

Thank you all! HK, I'd originally planned to do a pair of pink Velociraptors, but couldn't finish both in time! The other (on the other side of the sketchbook spread) is still waiting to be completed some other time. Nice, is there a name for the style you use. It reminds me of some illustrations I've seen before. I don't think one could label each artist's individual style, but if you mean my influences, I mentioned some of them at the end of this comment on page 2: dinotoyforum.proboards.com/index.cgi?action=display&board=art&thread=3196&page=2#82517 I might have mentioned some others on the first page and in 'Our Lives & Careers' thread too. Has anyone ever told you that your style of art reminds them of that of Tony Diterlizzi? He's one of my favorite illustrators. I think someone might have mentioned him once. I admire his work too, and again, I'm sure that we also share similar influences.

Very nice. When it comes to the skull, the two openings in front of the eye socket would both be covered by the same lump of tissue that would bulge out slightly and would not be individually noticeable on the living creature.
I wouldn't be saying something so absurdly nitpicky if it wasn't so amazing. You know me, I'm a big fan!

Thank you. I tend to rather over-emphasize bone structure and forget things like that.

Thank you. I tend to rather over-emphasize bone structure and forget things like that. The point I made was a bit...OK, VERY anal, but as I said I wouldn't bother if you weren't on the cusp of perfection! (Will I get an 'Order of the Brown Nose' award for this?)

I began by wanting to paint an Oviraptor (whom I have resolved henceforth to informally call 'Ovinutrix', รก la James Gurney) for a particular reason -- which will become clear at some point (hopefully this century : . Then it somehow became a generic Oviraptorosaur. But I think it's finally safe to call it a Citipati now. ;D The original is about 245 x 170mm. When I first saw that, I thought it was done by a tablet. You really need to compile these into a book someday!

Stunning work. Really captures the birdlike nature of the oviraptorosaurs. (Colours partly inspired by the Carnegie model?)
