Hey everyone. I'm a yank who's been into paleontology and collecting dinosaur stuff for as long as I can remember, and I've even displayed my collection in a state fair. I'm 20 now, and still look forward to getting my hands on new releases. This site is an excellent resource, and from what I can tell, you guys were one of the first to report on that awesome new Papo allosaurus! I look forward to being in this community!

Well, I'm from Issaquah, which is a town about 30 miles east of Seattle, but I go to Washington State University, so I live in Pullman right now, about 8 miles from the Idaho border.

Woah man! Small world! So did you study at Wazzu then? Or what made you move to Texas? I was here last year, too, it's too bad this forum wasn't up then or maybe we could have met.
I absolutely love Pullman...we even had a couple of snow days last week! First campus closures in like 14 years I heard!

Welcome to the Forum ItsTwentyBelow! Honk Honk! ;D I think most of our members are in the New World: I go to bed - and wake up to see a bunch of new posts! Where are all the European dinosaur collectors I wonder? (I know we have our Italian friend) Hiding away in their basements I suppose...

you guys were one of the first to report on that awesome new Papo allosaurus! Ah, I remember that well. Piltdown and I were eagerly awaiting the announcement of the new Papo dinosaur as the 2008 catalogue was being uploaded section by section - slowly. I was about 80% certain it was going to be a frilled Dilophosaurus. Oh, how I would have laughed. In the end, I was simultaneously disappointed and thrilled

WOAH! They closed WSU?!?!?!?Now THAT is news. No I couldn't go to WSU. My stupid High School wouldn't let me take Algebra II due to all my past absences and my first and only failure. System gets to ya. 2 yrs w/o going to school due to illness and other absences just...killed me. But we still moved to TX to...find a better life outside of P-Town. But not all that glitters is gold.

I'd take a Dilophosaur any day from them. Hoping they include a removable frill. And that the dinosaur isn't in a pathetic pose worthy of a prehistoric pinup...

Unfortunately no, I don't have any pics of them with me...actually wait no! I lied I do have pics of my Carnegie Collection here, I can try to post them. But that's it, and my whole collection's at home right now, except for a Papo T.rex, Carnegie dilong and microraptor, and a few of the Dinomania series 1 that I brought to school. I should be getting that x-plus albertosaurus in the mail tomorrow, though! I 'll post pics of it. How do you post pics first of all?

posting pics is easy. First you need to upload your pic onto the web, there are plenty of free image hosts. To include the image in your message, click the picture tag (2nd row, 4th from the left). This will place two bracketed pieces of code into the message. Paste the URL of the image between the two bracketed pieces of code. let us know if you have trouble Voila!

Ok cool, what would you recommend as a host?

I have a website so I tend not to use image hosts, I think that imageshack.us is a standard option.

Use photobucket. It's what I use, and it's easy to use.
