Has anyone ever put together a complete list of all of the dinosaurs in the various "museum-quality" replica collections (i.e., Carnegie, Safari, Schleich, Bullyland, Procon, etc.)?
It would very useful if there was a guide that listed everything along with pictures, etc. I have most of the Carnegie and Schleich collections but I've dropped the ball in the last few years and it's been somewhat difficult to get a handle on what I need to get in order to bring my collection up to date without a guide.
Any help would be appreciated!

Ah yes, a collectors guide to dinosaur figures would be nice Randy's site is perhaps the best online source of information regarding dinosaur and other prehistoric figures. The last few years we have seen so many that it is really hard to keep track of them all... not to mention all the Japan imports The only other dinosaur collectors guide in existence is so old now, but still worth having just as a reference.

Mike's guide just helped me out again..with some board member info as well.
Mike said they were still planning to do another one at some point..maybe a dvd version awhile back.

I know that they had a hard time finding a publisher before

Honestly I just don't think it's worth it to try considering what it cost....it would be much easier to put some kind of guide together as an online site that could be accessed by anyone any time. Several have already done similar things..even here at DTF. All you need is pics / info/ and prices..and we've done that for most pieces. it just needs compiling and updated.

Eventually, The Dinosaur Toy Blog should acheive this. For example, we are just a couple of figures away from reviewing every single Invicta model (uncoloured). Once completed, I'll create an INVICTA company page (available via a tab at the top of the main page). This will list the entire collection, with a photo of each and a link to the individual reviews. New company pages (tabs) will be rolled out as new collections are reviewed in their entirely. The end product should be very useful, but it is a slow process doing it this way!
This format is superior to a book because it is free and there's no limit on space for photos and text.
I did initiate a DTB project to produce a list all of the major replica lines 'up front', with the intention to link to the individual reviews as they were written, but that's something we would need a dedicated volunteer for...

Randy's website is very helpful. Thanks.
I agree that an online guide would be best for the reasons stated.

There are over 250-300 companies in DINOSAURIANA. There is too much for a site simply put but I tried to list every company that is in it (and failed). I tried to get the other authors to do an online version and they were not interested. The thing you have to remember is IF it does only see a disc release it will be fully print ready (at your own expense). So it's the best of both worlds but the work to do it is not best rewarded but by putting it all up for free. Would that be fair to the work that went into it? And the Invicta story is thoroughly covered in it btw

When will the collector’s guide “Dinosauriana” be released? The home page of the website talks about late in 2012: www.dinosauriana.com/

is this going to be a hardcopy book or the site itself (dinosauriana) would be populated with contents?

The Collectors Guide is good, but very outdated!

Outdated for new stuff, but a very good resource for older and vintage items. Metal figures, kaiyodo vinyls, cereal premiums, etc.
