I'd be fine as long as the frill was retractable (not removable, retractable!).

I would LOVE for safari to come out with a new t-rex figure as good as their new carno. Safari isn't making the Carnotaurus. They are producing/distributing it for the Carnegie line. Safari has nothing to do with those sculpts.

Safari has nothing to do with those sculpts. I consider carnegie to be a safari byproduct. I know they are technically not the same but I can never remember if a figure is safari or carnegie so I call them all safaris

I have to admit it is sort of endearing. With its cleaner lines and attention to detail it has a sexy elegance compared to other more chunky stegosauroids done of late. Could get space on my shelf if no pterosaurs come out in 2011. Here's a decent quality image of the Carnegie Miragaia. Used with permission. ;D

Here's a decent quality image of the Carnegie Miragaia. Used with permission. ;D Lovely figure. I'll take it for sure. Does anyone have better photos of the other figures by Safari? CAn it be posted now or we'll need to wait some more time? About the mistery Safari dino, someone can give us clues about it? Please, let us keep guessing with some little hints. It would be funny.

Overall, yes. But, the illustration does continue the plates down the back and onto the tail, where as the Carnegie changes to spikes halfway back and onto the tail. But, if you notice on the illustration, we don't have fossils yet for most of the bones, plates and/or spikes for the second half of this animal. So, I think Carnegie is making a scientific guess and adding spikes because of the close similarity to Dacentrurus armatus, which has the most complete stegosaur skeleton from Europe. Some illustrations even show the Miragaia having shoulder spikes like the Kentrosaurus. I posted a few more illustrations a few pages back on this thread if you want to check them out. BTW, that new Carnegie pic is awesome! What a beautiful figure!! I see, though, that Carnegie is keeping with similar color shades of recent past dinos, like their Diplo and Cryo. But, it's different enough for me and the color detailings are really well done!

I am really interested in the trees I am so tired of using palm trees or chopping up aquarium plants. The tree toob is nice but but only for smaller scale figures. The Procon trees are better a little big for 1/40 scale and discontinued. We play a lot of Saurian Safari and Survive O Saurus and these will be great. Much better than the Play Mobile prehistoric flora. I plan to buy a bunch of them.

Miragaia continues the "ramping up" of Carnegie/WS quality. Both lines are now producing stunningly beautiful and accurate sculpts.
If you want shoulder spikes, you can just buy two of them and do a little "cutting and pasting" from one figure to the other. (And encourage more such masterpieces by buying 2 figures)
Cant go wrong either way!

Someone is likely to do a Diabloceratops soon. Its just too juicy. Hopefully it will be Carnegie or WS, maybe next year?

Any new ceratopsid model from WS or Carnegie at this time would be much welcomed. Sure Diabloceratops would be awesome but there is still room for old classics like Centrosaurus, Chasmosaurus, Anchiceratops, Pentaceratops and plenty of other weird ones like Medusaceratops and Einiosaurus.
I'm still really happy with what we know we have coming out though.

Are stegosaur feet now thought to be more pillar-like?

Great stuff coming down the 'pike! I'm already slavering for that gorgonopsid and the new foliage! If I can corral enough chips, I'll also spring for the crocodile tube and boarcroc! If I'm really lucky, those family members that still support my habit (they're getting fewer) will kick in around the end of the year holiday season and I'll cop at least one of each of all their new offerings! Gosh, but I'm slavishly addicted to these things! Bring on the pic's! Thanks!

I'm still really happy with what we know we have coming out though. After Papo's relatively successful Pachyrhinosaurus design (minus the antlers), I would love to see Papo attempt to make all of them ceratopsian species, perhaps with a bit of color splashed in .... I remember I was so envious that I would never get myself a Dino-Rider Pachyrhinosaurus ( $300, I believe?), and then Papo gave me my Pachyrhinosaurus fix for under $10 and its a SUPERIOR sculpt !(nice way of pulling the rug underneath Tyco's DR!). Now, if Papo can only make a Chasmosaurus, I will be in bliss.
