though ive been waiting to repaint my dinotales rex forever, finally got around to it. IMO one of the best depictions of a rex (although a small one) ive always liked that it catches the look of the gigantic head and chunky powerful body...just never liked the production paint job! I agree, it's one of the best tyrannosaurs I own in spite of being one of the smallest - having the arms clutched to the chest was a masterstroke, as it means they can be appropriately small without being breakable. Do you dislike both of the production paint jobs...? You've done a good job on yours in any case!

thanks! i think having the arms tucked up out of the way just looks...right. if imagine if those little arms were sticking out all willynilly they'd get caught on a brach or something and just get pulled off haha. i like the paint jobs as advertised, but what you actually get in reality to me was never as pleasing . i just wanted something a little more smoothed and blended is all (i rather fancy the blue version to be honest)

meh...ive got a bunch of custom orders to do...and unfortunately ALL the customers want are rex and raptors. so tired of making the same thing over and over from scratch . they never turn out the same! anyways, this guy in specific wants two of these, not sure how i want the second one to look yet, maybe less developed and more...in-a-jar looking? the head could have been more accurate, but well, you know and a work in progress thats not dinosaur related: nikola tesla flying through the night on lightning/plasma with an entourage of pigeons

He looks really cute..and almost afraid.. awww.. ;D Making every piece from scratch is a royal pain when you start talking quantities of them. Not to mention you get the urge to keep em' all cause each one is different..one of the hardest things for an artist I've found is parting with pieces once done. How does one commission you ? I might be able to toss something different in there to part the boredom..

like the Nikola Tesla piece, used to paint on those same boards years ago in hs, great for acrylics.
