I DO live in the ALDI Nord area and found it here! So check the stores out quickly Yay, yesterday we checked our local ALDI, there was only a single set left (which means: Currently they have zero ;D). One thing is puzzling me: As obviously the big Triceratops is a smaller knock-off (or even recast) of the Bullyland ML figure - I don't remember to have seen something like the small one by Bullyland - the tail is also swept in the other direction than is the case in the big one. And now they should do the discontinued mammals, starting with Deinotherium and Megatherium! ;D Sorry, I just saw your entry. Yeah, I was wondering about that small scale Triceratops as well. But hey: Then we have got something many others don´t, don´t we And yeah, a small scale Deinotherium would be a highlight!

I went to Micheal's yesterday and to my great surprise, they have a SAFARI display! They had many items that my local toy store never does. So I cut back on groceries and bought myself a gypsy vanner horse, a stegosaurus (the good one, but much smaller than expected), and a very large and impressive polar bear. They also had a lot of toobs but were out of stock on most of them. I paid more than online of course, but nothing beats fresh hand-picked safari.

Oh yeah I probably buy more dinos at craft stores than I do at toy stores.

I wish there were good dinos at toy stores here, let alone at craft stores!
On the other hand, that may be a good thing. If I walked into a craft store which stocks dinos too, that would be the end of me. Bankrupt in less than no time.

Only the unpainted ones though Ebay prices for painted invictas are just too expensive.

Yes, apparently they made some white for kids to paint. I have seen a white rex also, but foolishly did not try to buy it (looked like a kid had already partially colored it, but it still would have been neat to own).

Yup! I'm loving the "oldies" more and more each day. ;D Got tired of trying to shoot for perfectly scientifically correct so I'm going in the opposite direction.

No, no, not schleich, lol. I have my standards. I am liking the stuff that is OLD and ugly (or retro), not just plain ugly.
Carnegie is a lot of fun because they have been making dinos for so long, and it's really neat to see in person how their work has evolved from the very earliest days to now.
