Yeah and the old carnegies are accurate for the time they were made. Schleichs are just...wrong.
Anyway I got a real dinosaur today. The Biology lab coordinator was clearing out their inventory closet and noticed he had lots of extra bird specimens (dead and stuffed). He traded me a hummingbird for an abandoned nest I found hiking the other day. Its all wrapped up in paper right now until I can bring it home and set it up safely so I can't say what species it is yet.

Last summer I found a male ruby throated hummingbird dead on the sidewalk after a violent thunderstorm. It went right into the freezer. I was amazed at how light it was (yes I know they are supposed to be light but expected a bit more mass than what I was used to from study skins).

Just returned from my holiday in Florida and it was my birthday!! I recieved the AAA Entelodont and Bullyland Diatryma amongst others. Will post pics soon. Check out my diorama thread for the full list and some dioramas starring them!!

I got the Dinotales Allosaurus, Suchomimus (both color varieties), Brachiosaurus, Brachiosaurus skeleton, Triceratops, Parasaurolophus, Megalania, Palaeoloxodon skull, Triceratops skull, Brontotherium, and gray Diatryma yesterday.

@ Icamiro and Ichtyostega, glad that you both got the figures in good condition, and fast! ;D I'm sure they are happy in their new home, glad you both like your new figures ;D @ Stoneage, No, I don't have a high paying job I do have lots of vacation accrued, so I have to take some or risk loosing some. Here are some of my new arrivals Couple of Shapeways ammonites. These guys are wonderful and reasonably priced,too. And my part 1 CollectA 2011 Truly wonderful figures! I'm impressed by how much they ahve improved. The figures make great diorama subjects ;D Stay tuned for more, Cheers! ;D

elasmosaurus by, uh.. schleich. It is a very nice figure, I like it (as well as the retired krono and Shoni). In my opinion these 3 figs are a must for marine reptiles collectors

Well, I have quite a big haul from the last few days. From DinoLord (thanks buddy ) : WS Scutosaurus & Kentrosaurus, Invicta Triceratops, Kaiyodo Acrocanthosaurus and Carnegie Ankylosaurus. From the museum gift shop: CollectA Ankylosaurus, Lexovisaurus, Cryolophosaurus & Nothronychus.
