I like all animals! The Orangutan is actually my favourite of the larger apes. Though I can't quite decide whether it or the gibbon is my favourite ape of all.

This year I once again went to Sarasota, Florida to see my Dad and Brother. I usually stay on Siesta Key at these condos.

The Beach Here is the only Turtle Nest I saw on the beach this year. In years past they were all over the place. Kind of makes you think!

Nice. Bonsais are so cool. I've done some. Not hard to make modest ones, but I have respect for the patience and care required to make really old thick-trunked ones. They are so unforgiving, with their tiny pots and constrained roots. You really have to be "all in" for years and years to make and keep nice ones. I've killed all of mine. It helps if you stay put and don't move all over the country too! Now that I'm rooted in Oregon, I might just have to take that up again. And you're right, they would look great in some dioramas!
The bromeliads and pitcher plants are nice too. Love the hues on many bromeliads. I remember hiking in cloud forests in Tamaulipas and encountering many that had fallen from trees. It wasn't uncommon to find them full of water and to find tadpoles and frogs/salamanders inside of them.

Here are some Cycads and a Epiphyte Garden Oak Grove.
