You know that funny little set that doesn't have a T-rex or Triceratops? I'd like to put up information about it, and see what else everyone knows about it. Here is a list of species (and what they'd normally be in a 'usual' dinosaur set in brackets) Stegosaurus (same as usual) Nedoceratops (Triceratops) Baryonyx (Spinosaurus) Acrocanthosaurus (Tyrannosaurus) Euoplocephalus (could stay the same, could be switched with Ankylosaurus) Saurornithoides (Velociraptor) Brachiosaurus (same as usual) Amargasaurus (any large-ish sauropod) Postosuchus (not sure, could be Allosaurus) Dimetrodon (same as usual) Hypsilophodon (Parasaurolophus or Iguanodon) Microceratus (any of the more common ceratopsians or ornithopods)

Hey guys. I found out that this set is being sold here in Brasil under the name "Dinos Exóticos" (Exotic Dinos, something like that). But, there are a lot of pics on the distribuitor's website, and they show up in a lot of diff paint jobs. Looks like there is some size differences, with some figs bigger than others. I'm going to try to catch some for my collection. Here is the link to the wesite. www.bubatoys.com.br/produto/acao-e-diversao/dinos-sortidos-en-145324

I do not know if all 12 figures were done in both sizes (if they were, a little 3" Postosuchus would have been cool, but there will be a better one in the 2011 Crocodiles Toob (I'd still get the mini set i it appeared at a local shop). I also just noticed how variable the figures are--there are several different packagings, and there are several different paint schemes (the one found around here is the same as what was used on the 4-figure blister cards).

I've seen these things in shops. Sweet as it is that it has obscure animals in it, it doesn't appeal to me.

I got myself a boxed set of these figures today: Postosuchus and Hypsilophodon. Obviously these aren't high quality and accurate figures, but I must say that they are much better than I imagined. They are made of solid rubbery plastic, have quite a nice paintjob and even a tiny bit of a dynamique pose The Postosuchus has a nice S curve seen from above, with it's tail sweeping in the air and the Hypsilipohodon stands perefectly balanced on its two feet and has a mouthful of plants - a very nice and original detail

Two, in fact. I'm hoping to repaint one of the Hypsilophodon. Stoneage, Sean posted a link to his album a few posts above.

I guess I'll post a picture of mine this evening - the colours are very different from sbell's ones. My Postosuchus even has a bit of a naturalistic colour scheme, with browns and a subtle yellow. I bought them in a local shop - but there was only one box left sometimes I see them on ebay Germany, but mostly with a generic description, without the names or 'discover the lost world' phrase. Crankydinosaur, if I stumble on one again, I'll send you a link!

My Postosuchus is different too; I imagine it must be the same as yours? where is everyone buying these, i know everything dinosaurs has them but i just want the one with the postosuchus also how tall is the postosuchus The Postosuchus is small; about 6cm long in a straight line, and 2.3 cm tall. If you order from Everything Dinosaur, you can simply add one set to your basket and send them a message asking for the Hypsilophodon & Postosuchus set.

Funny My Postosuchus is 10.5 cm long and it's height is about 4.5 cm. No clue why they did them in different sizes

I've never seen the minis for sale in Canada though.

He doesn't really rival the Wild Safari one, no. The Hypsilophodon looks good though!
