Does anyone know of a well made Thylacine (Tasmanian Tiger) figure? I know its not a dinosaur but just as many folks on this forum seem to be interested in extinct mammals as well as dinosaurs...

The innovative kids Gone Extinct Toob+book includes one. Unlike most, this one is still in production. There are several others--a few other Yowies, a Club Earth, a Starlux. None of those are made now.

Not meaning to hijack this thread, but what else comes in the innovative kids toob? All of the ones I have (other than the mythicals, because I haven't gotten to it yet) can be seen here: picasaweb.google.com/HyenaSean/InnovativeKidsToobs#I think I have a thread around here somewhere, but the list is: Opabinia Arthropleura Brachauchenia Archelon Ammonite Pteranodon Steller's Sea Cow some sort of Red Colobus Smilodon Mammoth Quagga Allosaurus Dodo Archaeopteryx and of course the Thylacine. They aren't all great--but the inverts alone are almost worth it!

I believe that Colorata also has one in one of its modern animal groups. I think Sean may have that one? Not certain but It appears well done. Also Koro Koro makes one as well, but the head is a big largish in proportion to the rest of its body.

It's par of the recent Endangered Animals set. Of course, I think the thylacine is probably negative extinct at this point but at least they can't get more endangered.

I think I need that toob too! I figured the Thylacine would have been a bit more popular in terms of a figure subject due to its recent appearances in pop. culture and such.

I highly suggest the toob/book set. The book is...not great. But the set is enough to make it worthwhile. They aren't Kaiyodo or Safari-level, but they made some neat ones. And if that set becomes a good seller, it might encourage them to make other, similar themed ones. We never know, but wouldn't an 'ice age' mammals one be awesome (and easy) for them? Of course, when you look in the book, you curse that they only make 15 per toob--there are some other animals in there that would have been cool. Also cool--dinos are just a small part of it. I like dinosaurs, but extinction is far larger than just that one group. Also, there is a Dino toob book anyway (but the dinos, unless they've revamped it, are completely not worth it).

I have the Club Earth one, I came across it at my local zoo about 10 years ago. I picked up the set with it & the dodo & the one with the lion & quagga. Did Club Earth make any other sets?
I plan to get the groovy toobs set eventually, I have 2 of the fantasy sets & the African set.
Safari should make a recently extinct animals toob. It could include: thylacine quagga dodo great auk moa ivory bill woodpecker carolina parakeet passenger pigeon auroch stellers sea cow tarpan bluebuck

On an earlier thread, I had posted a picture of a thylacine model that several people were interested in--any luck with that one?

That's actually the Tasmanian Thylacine. The Powerful Thylacine was released in a later series, and I don't have it.
