So, after my latest adventures in Spain I came back with some really annoying egg toy dinosaurs called Predators - Volcano Attack. Annoying! Why I hear you ask? Well, they are mystery egg figures and obviously you want the figures BUT ............... the figures are only included in some eggs and those without the figures have a mobile phone tag (Why?). The hit rate is really, REALLY bad ................... I bought 14 eggs and got only 2 figures! Hell, am I a dedicated man child or what? These have been around in Europe a while and were first issued with gaming cards in trading card style packs. They seem to be produced by a German company. The first series were a bit odd looking. They were sort of slightly ugly, cartoony critters and an obvious attempt by a European manufacturer to emulate Dino King gaming toys. The new figures (Volcano Attack) seem to be a second series and are a lot better sculpts. As you will see, there are some interesting figures in there ....................... it would be nice if these 1 inch figures were easier to get hold of as the figure choice is quite interesting Really, that's a Megatherium is it? Here's the annoying mobile phone tags ........................ Incidentally, I got the Therizinosaurus and the Deinochirus. The Theri is actually quite nice for such a small figure. Series 1, 'The Return of the Dinosaurs', are sometimes to be found on Ebay. I will attempt to take some pictures of the figures that I have later but my limited photography skills are unlikely to cope too well with such tiny critters (these are nanosaurs by Kaiyodo Dinotales microsaur standards!)

I have seen ebay seller Snertus selling some of them--the Chalicotherium went for a ridiculous amount of money.
There are a few there that I wouldn't mind--the Hyaenodon, the Deinotherium--more because of what they are called, but I couldn't bring myself to pay much for them. They don't really seem that well done.

I've also seen them in the listings of Snertus and thought they were vintage or something. But they are anno 2010 figures - wow! Uhmmm... I really like these kind of figures when they are from the sixties or seventies, but it's kind of different to me when they are completely new. Nonetheless, I do like the variety in species!

Aaww, they're cute! They're far from realistic, but I kinda like them.
Lystrosaurus sure has changed its image...

The second series are better than the first but they certainly aren't accurate renditions but more like slightly cartoony characters. That said, they have some nice qualities for cheapy collectable toys but I wouldn't want a complete set just the odd lesser made critters really. That said some look better in the flesh and I'm quite pleased with the Therizinosaurus.

Lol, I have no idea. In any case no ones managed to convince me to carry a mobile phone yet. Why on earth anyone would want people constantly bugging them during private time seems totally mad to me

They were produced by German toy company Simba. They are still being added to an odd "Dinosaur magazine" that´s being released here in Germany. And they´re being sold extra on ebay Germany. They´re quite abundant there. I like the fact that there is a second German Deinotherium now!

Maybe i'm worng, but i saw something similar in a newspaper stand some time ago... Pretty sure there weren't toy eggs or something similar though Anyway, some of those figures look nice, glad they went for more obscure species instead of the classic dinosaurs like T.Rex and such The Lystrosaurus disguised as a sauropod (maybe to scare away the predators?) and the roaring Megatheriomimus are the best IMHO ;D ;D ;D
