Now, Safari, Papo, CollectA, Bully & Schleich, stop making Rexes! We don't need them anymore ;D! Hear, hear. ;D Or, one of them ought to buy the rights from David to reproduce it in pvc, that way, it'll be even more readily affordable too and the toy market will have the best pvc T. rex figure in creation. ;D

Your idea is even better. I forgot about the price. One of the reasons why I'll never be rich ;D.

I am willing to wager a large sum of money that at least half of these upcoming Krentz Rexes will be painted to look like Stumpy Haha not that there is anything wrong with that! (It's what I will be doing...)

Actually if ALL of the shapeways models would be made available in this new resin size, it'd be another definite buy. Look at me. Making tons of posts of all this stuff I want. Dinosaurs dinosaurs dinosaurs.

Sorry if this has already been asked, but when will the 1/40 T-Rex be available for general purchase? I can't preorder because I don't have the money at the moment.
Amen!

Well, the Rex is being cast right now. Maybe in a few weeks it will be done. Also, I've asked this before, but which model would you like to see next in 1/40?

I'd say either Triceratops or Giganotosaurus.

I would say Agustinia (to replace CollectA's one) or Ekrixinatosaurus (because it's unusual) But any model would be greatly loved Also, if money is no object, which material is the best to order the 1/40 Rex in?

Yes, David i second the Kosmo in 1/40th and i would love to see your Edmontosaurus in 1/40th , i have the 1/144th one and i was wondering if that one can be produced in 1/40th scale? Everyone thinks that is the best edmonto out there and i agree it just needs to be larger so there is more detail on a already perfect form. Dave is this possible? I have never had you actually answer one of mu questions yet so if you can this is one i would like to hear back from you on? ? Attachments:

It is not intentional that I have not answered you, sorry if it seems that way. I will need to sculpt on lots of scales and details to make the Edmonto ready for 1/40, so that one might be a little while. Really great paint job on that guy! Same detail note goes for the Trike and other Hell Creekers. I did fully detail the Alamo, but thats a hefty price tag. I think I'm partial to the Kosmo right now because it's cheaper to do after such an expensive one like the Rex. I'll keep taking votes though, it is helpful.
A 1/40 Rex at Shapeways would cost between $130 to $240.00 in case anyone was wondering.

The Kosmo is my first choice, after that I would love to see the Ekrixinatosaurus in 1/40. The price range for the Shapeways 1/40 T-rex doesn't seem THAT unreasonable, considering the way those figures are produced. However, nothing approaches the fidelity of a well-cast resin kit.

Here's my 1/72 Krentz T-rex. Still working on him. Waiting for his 1/144 scale Alamosaurus to put these two in a scene together Attachments:
