I am just amazed by the detail to be found in the sculptures you and your brother create. They are just gorgeous. Nicely done again! I am patiently awaiting seeing the Ceratosaurus (someday?).

I gave the core a thin apoxie layer with the last material I had and added the teeth.Fortunately I had to sculpt the teeth only for the upper jaw this time, cause the acro will have a closed mouth. I need to thicken the under jaw a bit, but overall I am happy how it looks at the moment. Totoro, my brother told me recently he wants to sculpt a ceratosaurus and has started to work at the core of the skull. ;D

I didn`t sculpt for some time, but I will start something new in the next weeks.Unfortunately, I had some problems with the acro that caused some sculpting frustration, but I think I am ready now to work on a new dinosaur. So I didn`t finish the acro head because of different reasons, first is that I do not like the color scheme I chose, it turned out to look different from what I was aiming for.Second is that the scale of 1:2.5 makes it really big(weigth is about 7kg!), so sculpting this one needs a lot of time and also costs a lot of material (=money). I am just a hobby sculptor, so you learn from your mistakes, I am fine with that, I just don`t have the motivation to finish something that I am not 100% satisfied with. So here are two pictures of it: I think the thread will be updated within the next two weeks with some pictures of the ceratosaurus nasicornis sculpture that my brother is sculpting.

Hey, that has some great detail! I'm sure if you don't want it someone would be willing to buy it from you.

Long time no post ! lol
It does look great to me..but I know how you feel..I tend to question myself all through a piece even more so the closer to finishing I get.
I am sure you could sell it if you finish it..I might even be interested myself...I do love any Allosaur related species as well.. ;D
The Cerato would be awesome to see as well !

I think it looks awesome! might be even better with round pupils... but, couldnĀ“t you just repaint the scales?

I really like that Acrocanthosaurus bust. So if you're not satisfied with it you should maybe still keep it and do something else instead at this time, maybe the inspiration for the changes you want may come later. I'm sure you'd regret giving it up too soon!
