Cool! Thanks for sharing these. Looks like you have no space for the new Diplodocus when it arrives...I'm presuming you will be getting it There is wide diversity in quality in this collection, some are more convincing than others. It's just struck me that there is no Carnegie ichthyosaur

Yeah, my collection isn't complete. I don't have the newer t.rex, kronosaurus, mammoth, either oviraptor, larger dimetrodon, caudipteryx, beipiaosaurus, ankylosaurus, or amargasaurus, and none of the repaints because I don't care about them and I think they're a waste of money. I do think I have one of each that's been retired so far, though. There's still a little work to be done with this collection, and that giganotosaurus looks pretty d**n cool! Dunno about the new diplodocus though, because that's a lot of money to plop down on another of the same species. And yes, that is a Jack-O-Lantern wearing a hat on the shelf.

Im impressed with the 2 humaniods (cant spell the name of what they are) and the old style Maisauri. Those are the only 2 pieces Im missing, minus the repaints and 2008 items.
Good stuff!

Yeah, I don't think the australopithecines were a very popular item. They were retired in 1996, I think. I got those two for Christmas one year a looooong time ago, but I don't remember ever seeing them in a toy store.

The carnegie collection really is a neat line to collect. The huge variation in figures from the "old school" figures such as the stegosaurus compared to the new tylosaurus of today is a good way to show how scientific views change...
Science teachers should have this set in their science labs, haha!

If so, I will keep an eye out for one for you. These two are some of my favourite figures ever. A sort of realistic Adam and Eve. I recommend you to get the male too, they totally were born to be together. ;D I remember the first one I bought was the male, in a museum store. I was about 10 years old or so...Then some weeks after I came to buy the female and I couldn't find it. So I asked the shop assistant, a woman, if they had the "FEMALE AUSTRALOPITHECUS" and she showed me a really weird face and asked "WHAAAAT???"... I was totally sure that I was spelling "australopithecus" wrong, and start feeling very embarrased... I repeated the words "female australopithecus", slow and clear... with the same answer from the woman. Then I described the figure to her, and suddenly she shout: "OH, THE CHIMPA!". Man... She was working in a museum, you know?

That's a nice collection and it's good to see some of figures I've been thinking of acquiring from various angles, as well as some real classics that I sadly no longer possess.... And that Giraffatitan really does tower over them all! They should release a Sauroposeidon next year, I think.
