This post (which comes up for googling: carnegie collection images) inspired my carnegie collection into full steam about 8 months ago or so. Now I have every 1:40 scale model they currently produce (dinosaurs, not including mammoth). And yeah, I needed his same Brachiosaurus so even though I have the more recent dark green, I had to get this one just because of this photo. I passed though on the old Trex because the new one is just simply better to me. Carnegie is my fav line because they seem so accurate in size as well and other aspects for the newer dinosaurus.

Ok, I have never attached before on this site so I will see if it works. This was a trial test and used my phone because it is way quicker to upload the pictures with it. If it works, I will upload my full collection later with a better camera. Ok, I just viewed the pictures as I received them from my phone... they are not good... but it gives you an idea of things until I can take a full collection picture. For now this is my setup. Different dinos get setup each month or so because their is no room... Attachments:

The WS postosuchus is in 1:40 scale? I always thought it was a little bigger. Also, the WS stegosaurus is much nicer looking than the carnegie and its the same exact size. May want to consider picking that guy up if you ever get the chance.

May want to consider picking that guy up if you ever get the chance. Its funny you just mentioned that because I just ordered 2 days ago the stego and the triceratops from WS. I was on the fence about them for several months now, not sure of how their scale size fills out. But now I know. As far as the Postosuchus, he is not 1:40 scale exactly... but very close. He measures equal to 23 ft and the actual beast is about 15-17ft long. So its not far off. Height also... next to the 1:40 scale man, he is the same height on the Post. shoulders to the mans head and Post. hips about 1/4 inch heigher. So you could say 6-7ft tall equivalent. I think that is not far from the actual beast. Actual Ht is about 4-5 ft if I am not mistaken (could be off). So its like the WS is just a extra large one but not unrealistic. Same with Nigersaurus from WS. He is great with great detail. Actual dino is 30ft long. WS measure equal to 27ft. So he happens to fit into scale. I try to analyze which WS fit into scale because some look really nice.

You're a fan of Giganotosaurus and Camarasaurus I see! Thanks for sharing, that's a really good display with the trees 'n' all.

Great collections. Well-posed. Nice to see some of the rarer, older items.

Its not so much that I am a Giga. fan as much as that it looks nice in a pack. Some dinosaurs look nice with a herd (like camarasaurus) or a pack to hunt with (Giganotosaurus). And the plans are a mix of some dead plants I had around the home (they keep their dead leafs lol) and I bought some Schleich trees which are really awesome and great quality. I thought my 3x4 ft sandbox (with dirt) would have been big enough for all my Carnegie line but it was not. I have too many that I have some sitting out. Here is a more clear picture from my real camera and not phone. Sorry for the extra post if you guess are bothered by me throwing so many photos up. Just wanted to show a clearer picture. Oh and dirt makes any dino capable of standing in bipedial pose with out tripod form. But if you have them on a table and they wont stand correct, coins under the feet where it falls weak helps also.

Yeah I was just wondering about the postosuchus. I always consider it 1:40 as long as its in the ballpark.
And yeah i took the photo of my icon myself. AMNH is the best museum ever (biased statement on my part I know)

AMNH is the best museum ever (biased statement on my part I know) Well to back your statement, it might not be so bias. I went to the museum in LA and man was I disappointed. I thought it was suppose to be natural for all museums to be at least 3 or more floors and at least a whole block wide. Boy was I wrong. Even the Met. is about equally large to the AMNH. LA museum of natural history was 2 floors and about as large as a typical high school. It had some great exhibits but about only 4 major dino skeletons (meaning bigger than on a display stand). They had outside (surrounded by a construction site) a life size triceratops and juvenile Trex (who was still massive) replica. But it was fenced off. I think they are suppose to be making a full lot of different ones. That would be awesome but who knows.

Ok, I have taken the pictures of my complete set of Carnegie. Just for you guys ;D The only ones that are not 1:40 is the microraptor and Dilong and that was because when I first started collecting... I assumed they were the 1:40 size... I could not find anything saying their scale until after I ordered them. I tried to group them together in types. schleich men in there for scale. Before them, I had a cardboard cut out of 1:40 scale man... he is there also, can you find him? lol I truly love the size accuracy of Carnegie. Just looks right. Attachments:
