This guy is way cool! The teeth, hands and claws especially are impressive. Chris, you really do some amazing work. Can't wait to see this guy finished. BTW, loved the video! You know, right after the big double thunder rumble, what the hell was that shrieking sound right around 24 seconds? Then the head starts shaking on the moving neck. Freaky!

Thanks ! The teeth were a bit of a pain..I had to check and recheck those things... I knew what the teeth in a an adult would be like ..but in a juvenile I was unsure..I'm still not 100% sure they are fine...but I'm always the biggest critic of my own work...well me and that nagging voice in my head.. lol ;D You know I'm not sure what that was..the camera doesn't have volume and I didn't turn it to listen originally..I remember hold my breath and trying no to jostle the camera...so maybe that was me exhaling once.. lol Did you see the " ghost " in it as well.. ;D

Yeah I'm pretty happy with how this shapes into claws and spines..and the scutes or scales on the fingers turned out really nice. You can see I did the same with my big Raptor piece as well. There should be some close up shots a page or so back. ;D

Haha, yeah the "ghost"! I think you had a curious "prehistoric" bug that perhaps might have come through an "anomaly", brought on by the approaching storm! ;D

I figure it was..but the odd thing was prior to filming I just took the camera out of my pocket flipped it on , filmed and stuck it back in..never saw a bug on the camera at all..must have a quick little bugger..lol

So very cool. I'm still loving the teeth and that dewlap...
Do your neighbours have a nickname for you, by any chance? ;D I don't know, the Monster Guy or something...?

;D HAD to have a dewlap of some sort..I couldn't give him a huge one..just too young..but this works.. I used to be known as the Dino-Guy in school...or that guy that draws well..later the Halloween guy..now it's the clown person too...lol I love when the neighbors stop on the road and take pics..if they wanted I wouldn't care to take them around and show them up close.

Looking great. If you have some spare spikes I would put some in the forearm and maybe the tail. I like a lot how you made the dewlap. This creation of yours are perfect to keep at bay squeamish visitors, like that annoying little scout girls who wants you to buy some cookies or their Halloween analogue who begs for candy (all I know about american culture is thanks to movies, sorry)

I'm making more spines tonight..it's not finished yet ..much more detailing still ! ;D I am making spines that will run almost the full length of the tail..the arms have spines/ proto feathers on them already not sure if you can see them in the pics though.
The girl scouts and trick or treaters stopped coming long ago..the scouts for fear I would terrify them to death...the ToTs...they just do much anymore..mostly it's church thing now here. Sign of the times I guess.. :/

Long time no update. I finally started back working on the Spino last week. My last effort on it was at the end of August :

Incredible!!! If it could roar every time someone walked by, it would be great for keeping pests and neighbors off the lawn!

Wow, I'm loving the colours and markings! And my goodness is that a prickly Spino! ;D Thank you ! I do love spines.. Maybe the color is so it's parents don't accidentally step on it...lol ..porcupines , sea urchins and the like should be neon colored too. ;D Well..I do have a JP soundtrack that has all the animal's sounds coming from it I play from time to time..would be cool to rig up outdoor speakers for each species I have. .. ;D Believe it or not , sounds actually increase attention to my " exhibit " ..lol
