Ok, we have come to this years last diorama from my trips. Sadly the weather have changed for the worst; fall is here. Well, the last dioramas is devoted to prehistoric mammals and a bird. Have fun for it will be a while before any new diorama pictures will be posted again. So here they are: The terror bird find it's meal [img src="http://i344.photobucket.com/albums/p323/Bokichops/S7306459.jpg" ] By the swamp [img src="http://i344.photobucket.com/albums/p323/Bokichops/S7306562.jpg" The herd panicked by a hungry cat [img src="http://i344.photobucket.com/albums/p323/Bokichops/S7306595.jpg" Calm returns as the herd meet up with a potential protector... [img src="http://i344.photobucket.com/albums/p323/Bokichops/S7306590.jpg" As another battle begins between two awesome beast! [img src="http://i344.photobucket.com/albums/p323/Bokichops/S7306603.jpg" ] And so it goes for thousands of years

Your dioramas are all great - inspiring! You find such perfect locations. All I can find is brick walls and tall grass around here!
When it starts to rain, you should waterproof your camera and use it to your advantage! If there is one thing I have learned from Jurassic Park it's that all the best scenes happen when it is raining ;D

I'm sorry in my haste I misread it. Do you really think Gomptotherium is gonna protect those little Anchitheriums? Do elephants protect Zebra?

Not actively, true, but big cats rarely attack elephants (though in fact they do sometimes)

is the terror bird dancing? anyway I like the last one and the swamp one is awesome as well... and btw the few I know is that big sabre toothed cats fed on mammoths, anyway modern cats never hunt adult elephants (only tigers and it is extreemely rare)

;D I just recently watched a large pride of Lions bring down a fairly good sized Elephant on TV. In large groups they can wear an Elephant down kind of like a Wolf Pack. Once they get the Elephant off its feet its over.

The terror bird is doing the waltz. The figures is a kaiyodo Titanis ( there is also a black version) as for that poor little 'meal", he is a primitive horse of some type. He came with a saber tooth and cave man figure, I believe the set was released by either fisher price or imaginex. I'm not entirely sure since it has been a few years and I can't find them in stores anymore.

question, i assume that bullyland has a constant scale so... are the Anchitherium and Gompotherium in correct scale to one another? Richie

I'm not entirely sure since it has been a few years and I can't find them in stores anymore. It's an Imaginext figure--there have been different releases of them as accessories. The later one is lighter in colour, with a light striping. And not to be pedantic, but I just noticed a small problem with that first diorama--Titanis is a North American Phorusrhacid from the Pliocene. The small horse--probably propaleotherium or hyracotherium--would be Eocene (and the former would be European). But it still looks funky.

Yah ;D Talk about resurrecting an old posting! ;D Wow, I have forgotten how some of the dioramas look I can't wait till it's nice again so I can go out and do new ones. Oh sbell, can I not have fun with my imagination? You have to admit they look good together, yah?
