Cheers! Yes, looks like my efforts finally bear some fruit. And now that I just got a graphic tablet (definitively smoother than the mouse:.) I´m finally going to add color and backgrounds to some of my older sketches, such as the Eotyrannus, Kosmoceratops, fighting Ouranosaurus, etc... (guess you might remember some of those) Just started with this one, the dueling dinos from Mongolia:

That one could maybe do with having the gamma turned down a bit, or just more contrasting shaded areas - looks a bit 'flat' currently. Otherwise, I like it. And of course, it's not finished yet, I realise!

Lovely atmosphere in this one. I especially like the Balaur's subdued character and neatness too. Dromaeosaurs don't get that treatment too often!

Do you ever plan on doing anything with all of these fabulous pieces? It seems like they would make a great coffeetable book or something.

Thanks for the kind compliments! I don´t think those are good enough to be featured in any book but hey, if someone wants to make a good offer I´m all ears.... And you´re right Himappan, this kind of approach is often neglected in dromaeosaurs. Glad you could apreciate that here. Its not like they had to be jumping, hunting and fighting all the time... Well... This is something I started today (boring day), a bit rushed but I like how it looks so far. A Deinonychus guarding her nest: I feel like I´m becoming a bit repetitive, haha. I´ll better go back to scaly dinosaurs for a while, I´m a bit fed up with all those fuzzballs to be honest....

Another old sketch getting an update. In a river of Late Jurassic Germany, a swimming Allosaurus is about to meet the jaws of the giant teleosaurid Machimosaurus.

Well...gentleman then? (kidding) ;D Aye, I think I´ll start with the Spino once I´m done with...this. Its the negative version of another old sketch that I´m coloring right now... you might remember it: a Koolasuchus stalking 2 thirsty Leallynasaura. ( just inverted the colors by mistake and thought it looked cool, so I kept it.) Got me a bit worried that this almost looks better than the original one... This one might take some more time to, the water effects are kinda exhausting.

I agree, this is probably my best piece so far, now I´m working on the background and I can say that its atleast the most realistic looking thing that I´ve ever created.. Awesome Spino colour scheme. Makes me want to paint a model after it! Woah, thanks! I´d be honoured. For all its worth, here is the Yinlong almost finished (well, officially is finished but maybe I´ll update with some changes in the background, the animal shading, and whatnot...)

I saw the Yinlong on dA. Will you be working on making the background mountains paler as you hinted at?
