Just a quick howdy from Texas. I have had a growing dino model collection for many years now. Having looked at some of the collections on here I know mine is not nearly as extensive, but my collection is only comprised of 1:40 museum quality models. My proudest models is a complete Battat collection that I got when they were new. I am trying to find good quality sauropods, especially the Chinese sauropods (Mamenchisaurus, Omeisaurus, Euhelopus, Shunosaurus). I am also thinking of sculpting and casting my own. We will see how that goes.

Safari made a decent Mamenchisaurus that can still be found fairly easily, while Galileo makes some very nice Shunosaurs (geenemodels.com). Salas made a 1:35 Omeisaurus, but it's very rare. Good luck!

I've seen the Safari Mamenchi before, but I would never call that a decent model.

Welcome! How about the Invicta Mamenchisaurus? Okay, wrong neck, but still quite a cool model.

I've seen the Safari Mamenchi before, but I would never call that a decent model. I agree. The Invicta Mamenchisaurus (mentioned by Libraraptor) is the better figure, even if it is still rather retro in some respects. I reviewed it here: www.dinotoyblog.com/2010/06/15/mamenchisaurus-invicta/Also, welcome!

I think I might be a bit jaded in model quality as I started out with the Battat collection and have used that as a standard of reference ever since.
