Yeah, loads has been explained already but there's still other things for the final two-parter! And permiantriassic, I say the same about the women! Emily = HOT! And Jess is pretty nice too!

Wow. I have no doubt in calling that the best ever episode. Loads of creatures, Lester's back, dramatic cliffhanger and some nice shots of Emily's arse! ;D

Loads of creatures, Lester's back, dramatic cliffhanger and some nice shots of Emily's arse! ;D Which episode would that be (what number in the season)? And how much episodes are left in this series? I'm hoping to catch up a little when I'm in the UK next week, so I hope it'll still be on then. Arse shots? As in nudity? I thought Primeval wouldn't dare...

No, of course not nudity, in clothes, but still nice! And it's Episode 5. One more left.

Great, I'll have something to watch tonight when I get home. I'll admit I like this season a bit better than last.

d**n, then they'll be finished by them time I get there. Oh well, I'll be waiting for the Blu-Ray release anyway.
Any word on a sixth series yet?

Just found out on Amazon that Primeval Series 5 will be available on DVD and Blu-Ray on July 4th. That means I could actually pick it up when I visit the UK next week. That would ver very handy... I just watched Series 4 BTW. Pretty good, though story wise it's still a bit confusing. I didn't care much for the whole Ethan/Emily arc. The action was good enough though, there was some decent humour here and there and the creatures looked fine (though more poetic license was taken with them than I'm used too (THAT was a Labyrinthodonth?!)). Overall quite slick but still a far cry from actual terrific telly.

Got Primeval Series 5 in the UK last week, and just finished watching it. Definite improvement! It seems Series 4 was largely building up towards Series 5 in regard to story. Even though it was a bit predictable at times, I loved the rising tension between the team members and their struggle to set things right. Also some very cool Lester/creature moments. The submarine episode was quite a thriller.
I sure hope there's gonna be a Series 6. I can't say the Series 5 cliffhanger did that much to me (a Matt duplicate?), but it'll be interesting what they'll come up with now. And they'll probably bring Helen Cutter back too. Don't know for sure whether that's a good thing.

Just saw that the new season finally premieres here in the US on Saturday, November 12th at 9pm on the BBC America channel. Wow, and the UK already had the DVD this past July! It sure seems to be taking longer to cross "the Pond" lately.

Hmm, this is interesting. Anyone know more about this?
Primeval: New World is a forthcoming Canadian science fiction television programme, set in Vancouver, British Columbia. A co-production between Impossible Pictures and Omni Film Productions for Space, the show is a spin-off of the British series Primeval. It will be broadcast on ITV in the United Kingdom. As with Primeval, the premise of Primeval: New World involves a team of scientists who have to deal with animals from the past and future that travel through time to the present day through anomalies, fictional phenomena which act as portals through time. Katie Newman of Impossible Pictures stated the tone of the series will be "older, darker and scarier" than the original. Production is slated to begin in Vancouver, British Columbia, in the winter of 2011.

Yeah, I heard about that new Canadian spin-off. It's supposedly set in what is now called the 'Primeverse', a shared Primeval universe in which characters from the various incarnations (the UK series, the Canadian series, and probably the upcoming American project(s) too) could theoretically meet up (though that's not saying they will).
But the impact of the Primeverse will deteriorate without a Series 6 in the UK...
