Which prehistoric mammals would you like to see made into figures? I would like to see a huge collection with maybe 150 to 200 of them. I'll give you the exact details later. There just aren't enough out there.

I don't know any collection of dinosaur figures that has achieved that number in years of manufacturing. I guess Safari doesn't get to 200 if you count both, WS and Carnegie together. Procon is the most prolific company at the moment, doing about 15 figures a year and has not gotten to the 200 mark in 5 years.
Expecting a prehistoric mammal collection like that would be a little too much, but I wouldn't bother to get some more mammals, other than Woolly Mammoths, Woolly Rhinos and so.
We do need a Songhua River Mammoth or a Columbian Mammoth.Mastodons would be good too. Also some different kind of rhinoceros, so an Embolotherium would be fine.
But we really do need some sort of artiodactyl (some sort of deer with crazy horns) and other saber tooth cat that isn't a Smilodon.
In nowadays, someone should make a prehistoric mammals line, since the ones we had are going extinct. But as we know, it's unlikely that SAfari would do that. Let's hope Procon make some for 2012. If I'm not mistaken, they were showing some prehistoric people in a toy fair somewhere (Germany??) and a member posted some pictures of them in here. Maybe they'll be on stores next year.

I'm not trying to be realistic here, I know this will never happen. I just think that, considering that there were hundreds more kinds of mammals then their were dinosaurs, all the crazy obscure species deserve some justice. I just think this would be a fun topic. And wierdo artiodactyls rule.

I'm not too sure if even 200 species of dinosaurs have been made into figures! ;D What if you count small toob figures? ;D Although not even Dinotales, including paint variations, have made it that high! Although, yeah, it is completely unrealistic to expect that many just-mammals. Expand to cynodonts, therapsids, gorgonopsids, etc, then maybe it's worth it (turns out, there are way too many rat- or squirrel-like mammals!).

Of course, if we were being taxonomically honest, the feathered dromeosaurs would have to be included in that total as well, and that would get us well past 200.

I could probably come up with 200 there too. Pre dinos are next.

Brontotherium has been replaced with Megacerops, Embolotherium is missing along with Paraceratherium (aka Indricotherium, biggest mammal), Sinotherium, Megaloceros, Cervalces latifrons, Kyptoceras. Of course there are a lot more but the main point is that most of these wouldn't be made due to lack of star appeal. Most current mammal lines are slowly being phased out from most companies.But I know this is a fun, "what if" thread. Hmm... where's Mammuthus? Anancus? So I just make my own. Not the same, I know.

How is this? Yes, looking back I left out some pretty obvious ones. I, however, deliberately tried to avoid species that were just bigger versions of modern animals, so that is why no Gigantopithecus, Cave Bear, Dire Wolf, Mega Lion, etc., unless they were significantly differant looking, like Arctodus. I also deliberately left out anancus because I thought he would make all the other Probisideans seem less impressive, having tusks like that. And as for Mammuthus and Paraceratherium, I thought I had him their from the beginning, but I guess I didn't. Stupid, I know.
