The color of your Marx Krono is pretty sweet! I agree, he is the larger Marx version ( I think there were two versions ?). What I got is the silver one, there are other colors available (green, brown, blue) but in my opinion the silver is the best. Dr. Admin, what color is yours?

/\ Actually, there is only one original Marx Kronosaurus. It came in grey and green. I think the one you have is the grey, not the silver (I could be wrong). The smaller one is the MPC Kronosaurus, which came in a number of colors. The Marx Kronosaurus was then rereleased in the 70s in a number of colors, including blue. If yours is truly silver, it is not from the 50's but from the 70's. Dr Admin, the blue one is from the 70's/
Sorry if that was confusing, here's a list: Original Marx Krono (1950's): Grey and green Marx Krono re-release (1970's): Many colors, blue, brown, green, silver, etc. MPC Krono (1960's): Smaller, many colors
Also, Boki, sorry to question you, as I may be wrong. The only reason I say that yours may be grey is that I have that one too and it looks silverish.

It is true that the original Marx Kronosaurus, Brontosaurus, and Pot Belly T-Rex came in flat green or gray. However in these early sets sometimes one of these figures would come in Metallic Green or Silver as sort of a premium. They only came in the playsets though. ;D

There is also the Bandai Liopleurodon, a nice little figure which not only has a dramatic pose, but boasts an elaborate and unique paint scheme as well. These are still commonly seen on ebay, often, (but not always) as part of a set.

As requested...my pliosaur collection (Jan 2011). After much deliberation I decided to include the polycotylids, which are traditionally regarded as pliosaurs, but are probably really derived plesiosauroids. So, lets call it my pliosauromorph collection Still missing one or two figures though... Group shot: and the line up:
