Hello ladies and gentlemen,
I am lurking on this forum for over one year now :). I am 27 years old guy from Czech republic working in IT for Anti-virus company and sort of musician with strong love for dinosaurs starting early in my childhood. My love was resurrected recently when I accidentally visited Dino Park and since then I am trying to rebuild my collection of these amazing animals. I bought few figures from Papo and Safari but at the moment I am more interested in display pieces like Sideshow, got Carnotaurus, Tupuxuara and I am currently waiting for Apatosaurus. Also I missed all pieces from David Krentz :(. I learned a lot here after my 14 years long break and I am enjoying your art and knowledge every day. Thank you for that.
I am not planning to be very active member but it is possible that i will add some comment from time to time :).
Jan

Welcome Jan! Why do you plan not to contribute to the forum that often? Time issues?

Oh, I wish, here's from Wiki: "In 1634 when Jan Rudolf Trčka died, his testament was ignored. The Colloredos received the property for their support to House of Habsburg, instead of passing the property to Trčka's daughters and granddaughter." (We wuz robbed!) "In 2003 regional court decided to return the Opočno castle from the state possession to Colloredo family" So the politics I was talking about was the Habsburg Emperor interfering. Of course that was a long time ago, in a galaxy far, far away. ;D There's still legal squabbling going on. old.radio.cz/en/html/opocno.htmlwww.zamek-opocno.cz/MY HUMBLE FAMILY HOMESTEAD

MY HUMBLE FAMILY HOMESTEAD I see, yeah that is different story . However, you can always see it from the bright side, there are not many dinosaurs remains in Czech Rep Like 2 footprints and one bone:

Oh well, better than nothing, Missouri was submerged most of the time and only one tiny area in the southeast was land and with a few dinosaur fossils. What is that, some kind of Iguanodon ?

No bright side then Czech rep was submerged too, but there were small islands. Yeah, it should be small iguanodontid found in 2003. There are also two more interesting fossils found over 100 years ago, but the paleontologists are not 100 % that they are dinosaurs. But since latest research it is likely that they really are, at least they are not considered to be crocodiles any more (Procerosaurus (Ponerosteus) exogyrarum and Albisaurus scutifer described by AntonĂn Frič). Are there any cool museums with dinosaurs in Missouri? As far as i know in the Czech rep is only cast of Carnotaurus skeleton displayed in Prague. However, when I visited it this year there was horse seat on it, not sure why, maybe some weird sense for humor:

Maybe it was meant to look like they were going to use it in a rodeo ;D

Maybe it was meant to look like they were going to use it in a rodeo ;D Yeah, bull riding obviously. Not much for dinosaurs in museums, the St. Louis Science Center does have fossils but it's been so long since I've been there I can't remember what's there. Guess I'll have to go there again. There is this in the Science Museum:(Arrghh, pronated forearms! Well it is twenty years old. )

Welcome! If I ever find myself in Prague in the future, I will make it a priority to check out that Carnotaurus mount. I don't think I've seen one before actually.
