Great way to display your collection. Mine is too big for the space I have, so they have to stay very close to each other. No room for bushes, trees or rocks You got some great figures there and some very strange to me. That pterosaur, the Gray one, looks like a Quetzalcoatlus. Who makes it? And please! Where did you get that big Smilodon! I'm looking for it for a long time.

I also don't know what the company is. Anyway, it's bendable. I bought the big AAA smilodon in a museum shop here in the Netherlands. I don't know or they still have it there . Is it rare?

Does anyone know what the mammal in the background is Might need a few more pictures, to see the tail, etc. It's pretty bear-like, and yet not. Some animals that come to mind are Sarkastodon, Megistotherium, Borhyaena, or Percrocuta/Dinocrocuta. Or it's a bad bear toy. Depends on the tail though; most of the reconstructions I found have longish tails (although they may be speculative reconstructions).

I will post more pics when I have the time. It lookst very much like a Wild Republic, because it was in a box with a mammoth that was the same. A text on the box said; 'prehistoric mammals'. So I'm sure it's prehistoric. It looks a bit bear-lion-dog-catish ; the tail looks like from a lion and the body from... whatever

Or, what else was in the box? I am wondering if it is not another Chick Yuet set of mammals--I have the 5" set, but there were larger sets that no one had ever actually seen for sale. The company is no longer around. The lion tail then opens up most of the possibilities I listed (not so much Borhyaena, really, it's too stocky). More than likely, it would be a large creodont or percrocutoid. Again, need to see more photos.

Ichthyostega, I enjoyed the way you grouped your figures by geological period. Is the brown figure In the early Permian a Diplocaulus? Please identify the manufacturer. Thanks.

Do you have pics of the Chick Yuet's? I'm wondering about it. BTW; this are the animals in the box wich I can remember. I'm horrible in knowing anything about prehistoric mammals, so I can't name alll the names . -Mammoth, same as the Wild Republic one, but other color's. -Smilodon/ saber-tooth tiger, a very short lower jaw . -A 'mix between cheetah and hyena', the colors and body of a hyena and the head of a cheetah-like animal. Mounth closed, but it's grinning. -a hippo-like creature, but with a smaller snout. -Woolly rhino. It's grey, a very long horn. A quite nice fig I think . -and the beast I have Will post pics of the animal soon.

I'm glad you like them! Do yu mean the reddish-brown amphibian next to the kaiyodo Diplocaulus? If so, yes, that's a Diplocaulus. It's made by Revell/Aurora from there kit series. It came with a Dimetrodon and a small spider.

Well, maybe a few of some, but I'm keeping those for when I need them. Are you still able to get more of these animals? The cheetah/hyena, 'hippo' and bear-thing could be interesting (I have enough mammoths, rhinos and sabre cats)

The AAA smilodon is a bit rare, but I don't think it command high prices.
If you find more for sale, let me know, maybe you can get one for me, I'd pay you or we could trade. I would be pleased if you find out more about those other mammals. I'm starting to want them. If you ever find them again, I would like to get the set.
