Wow, those CollectA's looks good and bigger than I imagined them. Glad to see that the Argentino is bigger, too. No kidding about those Schleich figures sizes.

I thought the schleich figs were all re-releases in new colors? Are they complete re-sculpts, just in smaller scale?

I thought the schleich figs were all re-releases in new colors? Are they complete re-sculpts, just in smaller scale? The Apatosaurus and Parasaurolophus look like they're the same sculpt, just smaller. the Brachiosaurus though is obviously a new model.

Wow, the Deinocheirus looks huge! Looks about the size of their Kelenken, but longer. I wish CollectA would have some kind of relevant scale for their Deluxe versions. Their new Amarga's neck still looks too short at any of those angles. But, it still looks like a pretty decent fig overall. What's that base the Megacerops is on? Is that also going to be available? There never seems to be a good pic of the new Carnegie Brachi with other familiar figs to get a better idea of his size. It's being said that he's the size of the older one. I'm assuming the big Carnegie old one, not the past newer version of the WS, right? Too bad about the extra small sizes of the new Schleich's, especially the sauropods. That new Apato looks really tiny next to the Rex. Anyway, thanks for the pics! Have you noticed that in this picture they included the trees with the new Brachiosaurus? It should be pretty easy to figure it out from there. The one on the left is about the same height, at the head, as the Agathis conifer. The conifer is 6.75" high. The one on the right is next to the tree fern. The tree fern is 5" high. There is lots to scale from in the photos.

It looks as though it may be closer to the recent Safari model in size... But I certainly don't mind things being on the smaller side.

*HARUMPH*
The new Safari Brach is indeed too small. Beautiful, but way too small at 1/40, and STILL too small next to the 1/50 figures of WS, medium Colecta and Favorite Collection.
I'll probably display it as a smaller specimen with the 1/50 figures - the Tamiya Brach remains as the best choice in 1/40 displays, even with its straight up neck inaccuracy ...

I think it looks great! Then again, I've never been concerned about scale - so long as it's big enough to enjoy the details and small enough to display without monopolizing shelf space Only one thing could dissuade me from buying it now - where did they put its nostrils?

The new Safari Brach is indeed too small. Beautiful, but way too small at 1/40, and STILL too small next to the 1/50 figures of WS I wouldn't say so. Maybe too small for 1:40, but definitely not for 1:50, judging by its size when compared with the Acrocanthosaurus in that photo.

Just wish they had made him some other color besides green! However, I will cast my vote for this being the most accurate sauropod toy ever made.

^^ And the 2008 Carnegie Dippy! ;D Wow, thanks Sean! That is a very good comparative pic. Yeah, this new Brachi does appear to be smaller than I had hoped too. But he looks like he would do pretty nicely displayed with WS figs. Actually, he seems like he'll look rather nice next to his little sister 2010 WS Brachi (with her having a more subdued coloration, but still in the green hues).

The new WS Acro is about the same as the current WS T-Rex right ?
So it is a little bit bigger than the WS Brachio ..maybe not as big as I would like but I'm going to still get it of course.
I think despite the lower neck being more correct.. the arched reared back neck is just so much impressive...so I do think the Papo Brachio will win out this year's battle of the sauropods.

Oh of course not, Niroot. I definitely should've included the Battat Dippy! Even with and partially because of the debatable pose, he is a magnificent figure! And I am proud to have gotten one new just before they went extinct. ;D

Just wish they had made him some other color besides green! However, I will cast my vote for this being the most accurate sauropod toy ever made. I would have to agree. The "lime green" effect seems to be an attribute that Carnegie takes pride in (e.g Brachiosaurus, Diplodocus, Miragaia, Amargasaurus, and Ankylosaurus).

I personally think the brachi sculpt is much better than either the carnegie dippy (wrong feet, weirdly flattened back and elongated torso) or the battat dippy (feet too large, odd pose, and also a flattened back and elongated torso).
