I think I've seen this at the Natural History Museum, except theirs had the forelimbs upside-down and it *appeared* to be moulded that way. But looking at this image, perhaps the museum put it together incorrectly.

Sometimes things look a lot better in promo pictures and the actual product is a let down.

Uhh..it was over a year. It wasn't in the clearance section but was still half off in their educational items. I meant to go and get another but never got around to it.

Well it just went on sale for $29.99 at the discovery channel online store. I jumped on the deal. Through today they are offering $1.99 flat rate shipping. I think I got a good deal.

I had one like that about 7, 8 years ago that just couldn't stay together - the weight ended up warping the pieces. Is this the same thing, or something new?

Just got my skeleton today and it's pretty nice. It came mostly pre-assembled and I do have a question about it. Shouldn't the longer of finger be on the top? My model is assembled with the longer finger over the shorter figure. I can take it apart if it is put together wrong.

Reading what I typed I meant to say shouldn't the shorter finger be on top. I was waiting for someone to chime in. I made the correction and now she looks great. Thanks again.

Would you mind taking a few photos of it? Also: how complete is it? I mean, most 'real' T. rex mounts are missing a few bits (normally gastralia, and frequently the furcula (wishbone)), so I don't expect it to have EVERYTHING, but it'd be interesting to see what they included.

That's great thanks. Looks good. I see it doesn't have gastralia, but it does have a wishbone. Looks like a different model to the one on sale in the Natural History Museum.

There is another model similar to this one that is just slightly larger. The Geomodel Rex or it's various knockoffs. The bones are more rubberish and it's more detailed..but the pose is annoying and the thing will fall apart if you stare at it wrong.
