Hello everyone,
I'm a 24-year-old from Pennsylvania and recently had my childhood interest in dinosaurs rekindled by my 3-year-old nephew. While reading children's dinosaur books to him I began to really admire the artwork in the books and became enamored with dinosaurs for the first time since early childhood.
I dug some of my old dinosaur toys and figures out of the attic at my mother's house, and although I only found a fraction of my old collection, I found enough to get me back into collecting dinosaur figures. At first, after failing to find the plethora of Jurassic Park figures I had as a child, I began purchasing them from eBay. Since then, however, I've moved to the less expensive and easier-to-find collections like Safari LTD, Papo, et cetera for now.
This also sparked an impulse to draw dinosaurs, which has led to another hobby that lay dormant since elementary school. And looking back at the drawings I made as a kid, I really regret not keeping up with my artwork. That being said, I've made much faster progress than I'd expected and thus dispelled my long-held notion that one needs some kind of natural talent in order to produce art.
Looking through the art forum, I am impressed by the artistic ability that many of you exhibit. I look forward to sharing artwork with you and to all the things I can learn here.
