You could have at least tried horsetails (even if still inappropriate).

Nice dios, I liked the first you posted. I'd use more neutral ground (i.e. no grass) but all in all nice. I'm glad to see other members become interested in dio-making ;D

I know what he meant, and I know cycads were a lame excuse. I just made these in my back yard for fun, I'll put more time and effort into the next round.

Just giving you a hard time--I know that it can be tough (and I have gotten way behind on ever doing a diorama again). And now you know the hell the producers of the WwD series went through!

I'm going to head to the beach in a few days for the next round, I think that will look much more authentic. Thanks for the comments!

Thanks Boki! All of the Carnegies I get now are in large lots. The last lot I mentioned had the 3 big sauropods for $28, plus 5 other figs. When you buy them like that, they're not too expensive. As for a theri diorama, I may take a trip to the beach to simulate the Gobi. I'm not sure I have 2 theri's in the same scale, though. I'd also like to do some South American ones... I agree, winning a lot is a big plus when you are on a $ budget ;D Sometimes it may sound like a lot of $ for a lot of misc. figures, but when you break it down it is way cheaper...really ;D I paid $80 w/s for my entire Procon deluxe figures, thats less than $15 for each. O o o speaking of lots, I just won one, big one, for $21 that included a Battat T-rex! ;D I am hoping it's the 3rd version of it; that would be so cool since I have both the first and the snow shoe versions.

I actually lost a Carnegie Rex at sea when I was very little, and I waited and waited and if finally came back!

Hey, I can't control the sun. They're also my first attempt. I'm sure they'll get better over time. You could do them later in the day.... Good luck with your future dios!

That is a good advantage of having little cousins with a sand pit at their house.
