I quite like this line overall. The paint jobs are fun! You guys are just scared to be adventurous and spice up your collections Spice up our collections with neon hunks of plastic? I'm sorry, but the catalouge shots of these looked way better.. to each his own. I understand you point of view though.

Aren't battats hunks of plastic? Technically, they would be PVC, and probably the poisonous kind that contained phenolphthalates (since those were only conspicuously removed in the last 5 years or so).

Yup--it might have been further back, but there is a reason that Bullyland, and later Safari, have always been big on mentioning phthalate free-ness. www.noharm.org/us/pvcDehp/phthalatesDehpEither way, when Battat was making its figures in the 90s, phthalates were not on the radar in the same way, and would certainly have been used (same with most figures from the same era of course).

Better not chew on those figures! ;D Hmmm, I have a Battat rex that's missing one arm I wonder if some poor kid ate it ? You know how notorious kids are at chewing arms and tails ;D

Dogs too! My poor carnegie velociraptor... *shudders* but anyways, I didn't know they could be toxic. I mean, I was never planning on eating them, but it is still kind of scary to think about.

Oh no, does that mean that it's bad I ate a Battat for dinner tonight? *Hopes it's not the poisonous kind*

I heard it taste like chicken! ;D I think it's only toxic if you chew on it and in large quantity, I doubt you ate all of your battas! That would be a very expensive dinner! ;D

I think Dinoking has started its invasion! I bought a starter set of cards at the mall tonight! Cards? I want more figures ;D So are the figures really close to what the cards/video game look like?

The basic figures aren't as detailed as the cards, anime, or video game...at least on first view...with a more detailed paint job they could possibly be...now the big vinyls are quite well detailed.

They are...I don't know. They fascinate me, even if their colors and some of the sculpts are horrorful (not a word, but...colorful-horroful...get it?...) ... I like the ceratopians the most. I think they are pretty good. Except for the color, of course. OMG! They could glow under my black light! wouldn't that be fantastic?!
