My scanner enjoys completely ignoring darker areas, so it appears far flatter than it is in person, but what can you do?  It's a common problem I think...best thing you can do is try and tweak it afterwards. Very nice by the way! |

Yep, very nice mosasaur. Regarding you problem, you could apply a bit of shading with photoshop and enhance some details, it certainly helps where your scanner doesn´t. |

Your work strongly reminds me of the art style in this animation:
That's a good thing, because to this day there is very little in the world of 2D animation of dinosaurs that can compare.
