I don't think what flavors, colors, taste etc. are opinions. They are preferences."
Ok, see, that statement is not even an opinion, it is simply a false statement. We can prove that flavors, colors and tastes are opinions. These things are also known as preferences, but that does not stop them from being opinions. An opinion is a belief or conclusion held with confidence but not substantiated by positive knowledge or proof.
"Isn't it your opinion that birds are dinosaurs?"
That is a conclusion based on induction. A conclusion is a judgment or decision reached after deliberation, and induction is the process of deriving general principles from particular facts or instances. The term induction can also be used for a conclusion reached by this process.
"Isn't it you opinion that birds and dinosaurs have the same digits?"
That is a hypothesis - a tentative assumption made in order to draw out and test its logical or empirical consequences. That is in part why I am asking is anyone can provide by elaborating on the forelimb digits of theropods, including archaeopteryx. Taken further, and backed with substantial proof, that would become a theory. Theory implies a greater range of evidence and greater likelihood of truth then a hypothesis.
"Isn't it your opinion that Microraptor is a bird?"
Again, see above.
"If birds diverged from Dinosaurs before Microraptor wouldn't that mean that Microraptor wasn't a bird?"
It could mean that, yes. Microraptor could be an offshoot of the group that contains birds, and thus still be called a bird depensing on what is going to be labeled as a "bird", along with many other dinosaurs, or it could be that the group that consists of what we call birds today are from an earlier split and that feathers were far more common in dinosaurs then we thought, indicating that feathers may not be an integument specific to only the animals we call birds. In that case, it may make us have to redefine the term bird yet again, along with the criteria for what is called a "bird".
We have been doing that from the time we found archaeopteryx. Thag filled that out back in other posts right here if you want to read more about it in depth.
So far the evidence seems to indicate that microraptor was rather closely related to the other animals in the clade Maniraptora, including the animals we know today as modern birds. Your "opinion" that they do not belong there means as much as "Santa is love" stickers.
"And isn't it your opinion that your opinions are obvious?"
They are for the most part, especially in the case of people who can't tell the difference between an opinion and anything else, and those that think opinions have any clout as anything more then a personal choice. It is certainly my opinion that you have no intent on trying to learn anything by dragging this out. Please, go back and re read the cryptozoology thread to further educate yourself on these matters. I have even linked it for you.
