;D cool. Nice job on the styraco horns. Yup, I like color too, just seem to be leaning more towards neutrals and earth tones at the moment. I don't really plan them out. I just sit down in front of the tv ant paint while Susan and I watch shows. they just sort of happen....

Thanks. ;D I didn't mean to infer that you didn't like color, I was more referring to many of the folks who prefer muted earth tone dinos to brightly colored ones. I admit, the "Darth Hornbill" alberto I did for a friend is a tad on the silly side! I plan my figures paint jobs out for the most part. Helps prevent abominations like this little trippy mess from happening when I have extra paint

I'd be scared seeing that tiger Albertosaurus come out of the trees to chase me...

I think even if an albertosaur was pink with yellow poke-a-dots that if he came out of the trees after me I wouldn't be laughing at his gaudy colors - maybe later, if I survived :-)

The styracosaurus you painted looks anorexic.

"The styracosaurus you painted looks anorexic." She doesn't eat much. As a matter of fact, I can't say I have ever seen her eat. I think shes getting a modeling deal.

I love your repaints crazycrowman! I want that tiger pattern Albertosaurus... ;D
That diorama is awesome! It seems as though the smilodon was made for it.
Where did you get that large bird? ;D

Thanks! That tiger pattern alberto took forever to paint, so unfortunately I am in no rush to part with it, The X plus figures are still quite available, though, have the benefit of being pretty cheap, and make great project figures as they take paint well, (I have found some figures do not like to take all pants as evenly as others) and have enough detail to look really nice when you are done. I may have to make a real diorama with these guys *ponders a good location* The Phorusrhacos is the Aroura model kit "Giant bird" - his legs move, his wings move, and his mouth opens and closes. They can be found on ebay sometimes, and don't tend to cost too much (they are usually unpainted and blue, or painted...with well...various color schemes, and are often in need of a re paint)

cool You have good skills, but sincerely I don't like much your customs because of the face. It looks like the dinos are going to a carnaval

I understand, color is one of those things that is a personal preference. I mean, that little hadrosaur is definitely not anything realistic, but all of the others fall well within the "could be" category, even the "Darth hornbill" rex. That paint job is actually kind of the culmination of an inside joke about hornbill temperament between me and a bird keeper friend of mine who works with them, otherwise I don't like that one much)
The when I look at an animal like a ceratopsid with an enormous and elaborate head structure, I just get the urge to give them lots of "look at me" flash patterns.

Yup, the ceratopsians are definitely flashy. You just know that they were meant to be seen from far off. Look at a styracho frill head on, it is impressive, and begs to be colorful.
