Well, there are now...
The anniversary rex it is. the base coats are on and drying. It is early am here, so I will not begin work on the actual paint scheme til tomorrow afternoon. No need to hurry it. Whites, creams, and light greys are less forgiving of mistakes than other colors. This one may turn out pretty cool. Here's hoping.

Imagine how cool a black form of smilodon would look. Pretty gnarly! *ponders a custom* And I am excited to see what Teton will bring out for us

Something like this? Flash is not good, but it is still dark out. I will try to take true light pics later today.

There are more pics in the customs sub-board. I will take some better ones outside when it is daytime. The flash really does not look as good. But, y'all can get a general idea. For those interested, I painted two coats of dolphin gray as a base. Then two coats of antique white. Then I dry brushed on two coats of desert sand. Then more antique white for the stripes. Then, a pale yellow-sunflower- in the white stripes on the tail, legs, and neck. Pure white for the belly. Primary yellow in two coats for the crests. A custom mix of baby pink and cherry red for the eyes and mouth interior. Rust for the pupils. Baby pink for the tongue. Flesh for the cheeks. Dusty pink for the nostril slits. Black for the ear holes, and small dots in the nostrils to represent the actual openings. And then territorial beige for the claws, and ivory for the teeth. I think that is pretty much it. For those who care...

Check this out: www.tarzan.com/manning/720213.jpgI have heard that "albino" primates often have blue eyes rather than pink becuase the blood does not show through as easily. But that they are still true albinos, unlike white lions or tigers. So what is the difference? There are not many true albino humans, if that is true. But there are some--I remember years ago there was a kid at the local Mormon church who had snow-white hair and red-pink eyes.

I've seen one albino girl before..she was actually pretty cute,,hard not to stare you know ? ;D When thinking of albino dinos I went looking for albino avians..there are white birds but I wasn't 100% sure there were albino birds..turns out there quite a few..even large predatory ones : images.google.com/images?hl=en&q=albino+birds&um=1&ie=UTF-8&ei=uFXuSbqYDZbGM4HbxOoP&sa=X&oi=image_result_group&resnum=1&ct=titleProb they wouldn't survive in the wild that well...much like albinos today...but it does make we want to go paint one...maybe a ghost raptor ? Edit: looks like just about all of this was mentioned on the first page..which I wasn't aware existed until after I posted..lol ;D

There is no question whether or not a Dinosaur could be albino, because it is very much possible for any vertebrate to have a lack of pigmentation. As to how it would look, that is interesting.

I dug my Screaming Raptor out yesterday and started it...about halfway done...these light colors are he** on my eyes though.. the white and yellow are almost blendingtogether...so the pattern looks off..but it is there...not sure if I can do anything about it..but she looks pretty darn cool.

I have already done two albinos--one carnegie rex anniversary rex, just before last x-mas, and an albino carnegie dilopho for CCM. I can post pics again, if you want. They had been here for some time, so we took them down.

I can do pics of the rex, but the dilopho is on the way to CCM, if it isn't there already.
I did the claws of the rex a light tan. Maybe drybrush a bit of light gray over it?
Also, I am not home yet, so I can't take new pics, not until Fri. I get back Thurs, but figure I'll be pretty wiped.

Well I'd like to see the Rex when you get a chance...I think I've about finished this Raptor..but after seeing your it might change..lol
I did pink cuticles around the claws and used a medium gray for the claws... it looks pretty freaky...I'll try to get a pic up at some point myself..might show it off to the guys at JPT as well. I wonder what it would look like if I went outside at night and used the flash to get a pic.. ?

I wonder why the smaller albino reptiles are yellow, but the albino alligator is much more white?
I want to see some pics of CM'd albino dinosaurs! Looks like some were posted in this topic but they aren't showing anymore..
