Your one is a lot yellower with less pronounced stripes, I want one with that paint job !(aswell as the one I have now, the bluer coloursa are pretty cool) Yes, there's no blue/grey on mine at all. I too covet your colour scheme Don't write off the Schleich though. The colour scheme is nothing compared to the Papo but I love the figure. It's one of my favourites I'm sure that you'd want it if you saw it in the flesh ;D It certainly knocks spots off of the crappy Safari (all ranges) ones! In fact, I've pretty much decided to ignore the Carnegie stuff. I do like the look of the WS Stego, Trike, Dunky and Velociraptor ........................... the rest is pretty much cheap and nasty There aren't enough decent TRex's out there! I have a certain affection for my Toyway/Carnage figure aswell.

That schliech is absolutely hideous. HE has superlong thighs! There's body shapes to suit all tastes. The world is full of short lumpy women of course. A good thing if you're a short lumpy man I guess ................... the same probably applied to TRex

I have not even been tempted to modify it in any way, if that means anything

That is what I hear. I am having a serious need to get some of those now, before they are gone. I don't really like or care to have all of them. But, I still want the allo, ankylo, elasmo, pterosaur. I think that will do. I don't like the two ceratopsians, I am not a fan of the cheekless beak look, and the trike doesn't do anything at all for me. And, aside from a Battat styraco, I already have a nice couple of those. The stego, also leaves me feeling meh, as does the Para. the raptor looks good, but how many of those dang things do I need? But the allo, oooohhhhh.
The rex, I am told, comes in two different colors, the brown and the green. I ordered from L & P, and I was not asked which color, I just lucked out. I was all set to paint it greenish, but when that pretty toy came.....aaahhhh

I have not even been tempted to modify it in any way, if that means anything I seem to get the vibe from the forum that these figures are rather small ........................ Is that not the case then? They seem to be relatively easily available over here considering that they are supposedly discontinued. PS keep those walkarounds coming Teton ........ you've already affected my purchases this month! ;D R John

I like your small collection, really good choices have been made - especially with those Papo guys and the Plesiosaur The collection is expandable. Asked for a tip, I´d say: Try to get all the Invicta ones!

Kevin, there are 3 paint variations of the rex, the green, blue, and one listed on the package as "BK" (black?).

I need to do another raid on the museum - That's where I get most of my figures from

I admit Safari ltd's color schemes are often quickly-made and loud, but I still appreciate (alot!!!) this company's high variety of unseen animals: guanlong, hermit crab, dragonfish, inostrancevia, shark ray, dilong, amebelodon, beipiaosaurus, sally lightfoot crab, marine iguana, hyacinth macaw... not so many companies can match this one's variety, most of them being confined in commonly seen animals (lions, tigers, T-rexes, giraffes, stegos and bottlenose dolphins). So, despite its demerits, Safari ltd has a strong quality: VARIETY.
