You should buy a scanner and draw more often! ;D I dunno if you want a crit, but I think it'd work better if his legs were a little sturdier. The way the joints are bent, it doesn't really look like either of them is carrying the multi-ton weight. This rex might be in for a fall. The dead carcass will help, but in general I think it's something to watch in future drawings. The best dino artists always have a good sense of balance. The problem seems to be mostly in the left foot. That kind of looks like he's swimming. Come to think of it, this drawing would actually work alright for a swimming pose.

We have a scanner, but sadly it doesn't scan 14 by 17 inch paper. ;D He's supposed to standing on a ridge (I've decided against the corpse) His right foot is supporting 75% of his weight and his left foot is pressed into the foliage, supporting 25 %. Tyrannosaurus supported all of its weight every time it walked right? One foot a time. Plus, it had to support its weight at a bend, like in my picture, before it sat or layed down. Its a daring pose, but it looks believable to me. You like it tho I presume?

I think you should try drawing T-Rex using a museum style sculpt, then you would get the idea. ;D

Museum quality? No way! ;D I doubt my drawings are ever going to be that accurate. A museum style sculpt? Give me an example of what you mean.

^^ More little details. Less big ones. For example, instead of doing BIG veins on the neck and BIG scales around the mouth, do more smaller scales and more smaller veins.

So he's basically leaning into the ridge? That should work. But don't worry, I fixed the balance issue. He won't fall on his face. All it needed was something that can support that collosal mass with ease.

Just get a good sculpt something that looks alive and believable. Something like expensive models. If you work at it you will get better. Do not defy the laws of Physics! ;D

Ohh cool. I love the detailed version. The colored version looks great, but I'm not a fan of the gray. I'm glad everyone enjoys modifying my T-Rex. ;D
