I'm afraid I don't have the original to compare it to... My guess is that the resin is slightly smaller?

Is that version same size as the original? I'd say they're the same size. I don't have the original Kaiyodo figure, but I do have both of the Compsognathus versions of this series and they're the same size - just alternate pose and colour.

Are they rarer than the original? With rarer I also mean more expensive...

Are they rarer than the original? With rarer I also mean more expensive... Yes, I think they are They were made for a chess game, so their rarity depends on the character they were used for. For example the Compsognathus was used as a pawn and shouldn't be as rare as the Spinosaurus, that was used as king. Got them from here: www.urzeitshop.de/index.php/cat/c96_Dino-Miniaturen.html/page/2Unfortunately there are only a few of the Kaiyodo models left. No Compsognathus anymore, but the Para's still there.

Didn't know that there was a red version, mine's green and doesn't have a white belly.

The red version is the one that's available now in stores. The green was released back in 2001 or whenever jp3 was actually in theaters.

Exactly, the red version was repainted and released on 2009.

Thanks Griffin for updating the blog a trike trilogy! Seems like everyone else including me is busy at other "building sites". Will 26 - reviews - October 2010 ever be excelled?

I put together a review for the CollectA Majungasaurus (Majungatholus), if that would be of interest.

Just send it to one of the reviewers, and I'm sure they'll be glad to put it up. In fact, I could put it up for you.
