I'm not sure if anyone here will remember but when I first started customizing I would only repaint a dinosaur if it had a lot of paint wear or was damaged. When I got this Rex it was missing a finger, several teeth and had a ton of paint wear. Originally I was just going to resculpt the finger and teeth then repaint it but a friend of mine talked me into repositioning the head and opening the jaws a bit more, I was skeptical at first about how it would look but in the end I'm happy with how it turned out.

I agree that is better then the original. If Tyrannax sends you one of his Battat Rex's could you make me one that looks just like it? ;D

If I had a Battat Rex, that's what I would do with it.
How did you reposition it, pilkington?

If I had a Battat Rex, that's what I would do with it. How did you reposition it, pilkington? To reposition the head I used a razor blade to cut off some of the neck until I got to where I wanted the head to be. Here is a pictures of what was cut off: I pegged the head so it would stay in place and super glued it, then used some green stuff to fill in the gaps and sculpted it to match the rest of the figure. Here's another picture of the figure with the series 3 Battat Rex:

Could you share more pics of this Trex, some close-up, and explain the way you paint it ?

Impressive work Pilkington ! Could you share more pics of this Trex, some close-up, and explain the way you paint it ? Sorry for the delay in my response, my dog hasn't been feeling well lately so I've been a bit preoccupied. For this figure I painted a base coat of brown on the figure and I dry brushed the underbelly. Then I just dry brushed different shade of brown on the figure to show some of the details of the rex, originally I was thinking of adding either stripes or a few spots to it but thought that it might take away from the detail of the figure so I decided it looked fine without. A few more pictures of the rex can be found here.

Very nice ;D Looks totally different! Wanna work on my one armed Battat? ;D Normally I would jump on the chance to customize another one however my procrastinating ways have flared up again and I just can't get back into customizing right now, no matter how hard I try. I have some projects that I started over a year ago that I haven't been able to finish, the only reason this one got done is because I was on seizure watch with my dog and I had nothing else to do.
